I hope somebody can point me in the right direction!About 6 months ago I rescued a black dog .He was probley only hours from death he had been left for 10 days w. no food or water I picked him up to put him in my car and I thought he would weigh @ least 25 lbs. but my estimate was about 10lbs. I started feeding about every 3 to 4 hrs small amounts and I left water down all the time. He has put on about 30 lbs. About 3weeks ago I was talking to a person that knows the people from which I took him from and she told me that he had been hit by a car about 2 months befor I took himwhich explains alot because he can't hardly get up and he lays down all the timeand sometimes when he tries to get up he falls back down and I 'am afraid he is in some pain. My problem is my husband won't let me spend any money taking him to a vetand I don't work outside of the home. I need to find a way to get him medical attention maybe someone knows of a place that will donate their expertise .This is the 1st time I have ever done anything like this. There is a paws here but I was told I would have to give him up and I can't do that I love him to much and he loves me. My husband makes me keep him outside cause he is big and he sheds so much.( I wish I could put him in the dog house lol)If anyone knows of any programs please email me at calgontakeme_beachside@yahoo.com
