Hey! I really need some advice. Im about to start nursing school and I have a huge mustache problem. Ive been shaving it since I was 11(big mistake I KNOW) so for the last couple of years it has really been starting to show, almost like a man who shaves and leaves the six o'clock shadow and the HUGE grey area. I tried this yellow makeup that came in a tube ( to try and cover it up)but it didnt work. This really bothers me soo much... any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Why don't you try waxing, the hair will grow in softer and take more time to grow back. I use Sally Hanson spa wax kit. It runs for about $10.00, but you can wax a bunch of times before it runs out. Or if you want to go a more permenant route you could get electrolysis. It costs money, but the hair will NEVER grow back no matter what. I think in your situation that may be your best long term solution to invest in that. Hope everything works out. I get a moustache too!!
GET ELECTROLYSIS, GET IT OUT OF THE WAY FOREVER. I'VE BEEN DOING ELECTROLYSIS FOR FOUR YEARS AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT FOR AN AREA LIKE THE UPPERLIP, ELECTROLYSIS IS YOUR BEST OPTION. JUST MAKE SURE YOU SHOP AROUND FOR A GOOD ELECTROLOGIST. IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION OR HAVE QUESTIONS JUST EMAIL ME AT JOANIEGONELLA@YAHOO.COM
Sami, since you're going to be a nurse...I was an ICU nurse for 25 years, good luck!...have you seen a doctor and had your hormone levels checked? Not that it's the only cause of a dark moustache, but having had it since you were 11...seems a little young for such a strong expression of testosterone. I would agree with either of the 2 previous suggestions for dealing with the moustache but it might be appropriate to identify the cause. Mompea
I think you are a beautiful with a mustache or not. Men dont think about these things, they want a woman that cares for them and that will stick by her man no matter what. Dont be afraid to be who you are. If you really cant stand it you can always get electrolysis electrolysis.
Forget about electrolysis, it hurts a lot, and its very time consuming. The best way to go is laser hair removal. it sounds like youre a great candidate if your moustache is dark and thick. you will need to go for 6-8 treatments but it is super quick (less than 5 minutes) in order for it to be permanent. you should look into it and decide for yourself if it will work for you. I did my upper lip, sideburns, bikini, happy trail, buttocks, and legs. It's expensive but for me it was worth it. I would get the most painful ingrown hairs that would drive me batty every time i shaved.
