Massage helps some but takes time. Mary Kay has a product called Visibly Fit Body Lotion. It has anti-aging benefits and has helped my surgery scar a lot. (If you've read all my post you can tell I love Mary Kay, LOL I didn't plan to do this but it's all I use!)
Avon also sells a stretch mark product. I've never used it myself, but it's relatively inexpensive so it might be worth a try before opting for surgery.
i see u guys are having problems with stretch marks and i am to its just im 15 and mine are on my butt lol(i guess cause it got bigger)but its still strange and i have these these lumpy lines on the back of both my thigh there kinda red cause im am a light african american and i dont even know what they are but it looks scary to mee and i feel so annoyed and self conscious that i dont like to wear a bathin suit anymore i asked someone about them and they said the y were popped veins is that true?
First off, heavensstar18, No those are more likely stretch marks(popping veins look much different). Yes, you are only 15, but stretch marks appear during puberty too, because you are growing and changing. The coloration may be alarming, but its different for everyone, mostly determained by our skin's individual pigment. Also, the puffy look is normal as well. (Sorry babe just life) What I recommend and use is coco butter, its cheap, smells good, great for the whole body and helps fade those unsightly marks. You could always go with other more expensive brands, but the truth is, coco butter is coco butter. (I get a huge bottle at the dollar store myself, still works). Know this, as sad as it is, stretch marks do not go away. They are scars of broken skin that can not be repaired fully. They will shrink or "de-puff" and fade over time and things will be better. You can wear a swim suit again. (If you need more info, look up "stretch marks")
I got this body wash by St Ive's called "Collegen Elasten". Spoke of helps the skin regenerate cells and what not. I wonder if that would help a bit with stretch marks, help the get better. I haven't really noticed anything with the body wash, but lotion is better absorbed into the skin...maybe thats a good alternative. Also, I have heard about "Regenetrol". It looked very good, but very pricey in my eyes. =P Whats this talk of surgery? Are we speaking of the laser thing with a derm.? Ah well, anything that works. I have the Avon stuff, I should use it more! But really, I mostly use Coco butter (lotion, cream). Take vitamins that help with skin?(wonder if that incudes zinc?) Vitamin K is a good supplement, or you can add it to a lotion as well. Use disgrestion when taking anything though, use as directed and/or talk with your PCP...blah de blah...
