Hi. I would suggest using a soap or body wash that exfolates the skin and see if that helps any. Bath and Body works has a line called True Blue Spa they have a lot of great products for the body (not just the face) including a mud mask. There is a possiblity that your using a lotion or other product which causes the breakouts. Hope this helps!

I never get pimples anywhere else, besides my backside. They aren't regular pimples either. They can be larger, they never develop white heads and they occasionally hurt. I concur on the sex life comments. Like I don't have enough problems with being naked without having big red pumps on my rear. I've tried all the beauty products that one would use on their face to no avail! Thanks

Don't worry about it! My lil' bro gets these red bumps on his backside too! They are not pimples because there is no bacteria under the skin or there would be that white dot in the center It is more of a rash from sitting or walking in fitted or tighter fitting pants. I am NOT a docter so I am not sure what really causes it but....I wouldn't try acne products on it because they are usless for it...it would be like putting blemish cream on a bee sting. He treats them with petrolium Jelly. It works and mosturizes!

Sometimes I have them too. Most embarrassing! But I treat it with rubbing alcohol and that really works.

I have the same problem. I thought it might have something to do with the fact that I run a lot and the sweat clogging my pores in wet shorts or something. Do the rubbing alcohol or petroleum jelly really work? this is an embarassing problem!

I was looking for some help with this horrible problem, when I found this site. I read through all that you have said and didn't really feel that anyones problem had been solved. I too have tried all sorts of things to get rid of this. I must have a combination of some of your problems, I do get white heads, but also big, red, painful, boils! Some are easy to pop, but others are just there, and there, and there. Sex is very embarassing, although my husband never comments on it, I know that it must bother him. What can we do about it? Isn't there anyone out there who knows? I'll report back if I personally find anything, but if there is anyone out there, please HELP!!

I see that everyone seems to concentrate on what to "put on" their behinds to get rid of these bumps ... Well, have you tried cleaning your toilet seat really really good??? And doing it frequently? (at least twice a week!) Clean every inch of the seat, not missing a single spot, with an antibacterial cleaner such as "scrubbing bubbles" or, "clorox clean up with bleach". Of course, store brands are acceptable as well. Be sure to follow package instructions and precautions! And, disposable gloves are definitely a plus during this oh so glamorous task! Also, make sure the toilet itself is sparkling clean! Any toilet bowl cleaner with bleach will do the job! Also, you may want to try "tucks" pads or wipes to soothe the painful bumps until they heal. (again, store brand is fine) If you keep every inch of that seat clean, I believe you will find at least an improvement, if not total clearing of your rear end! Good Luck! *smile* ~Lucy

Ahhh,it's such a relief to know that I wasn't the only one with this problem. I used to have A LOT of pimpoles or so they look like that but they're not acne they're something else that looks like it. I forgot what it's called but I think you get it because you spend a good deal of time sitting down. Anyway, you can cure them with Murad product. The exfoliating gel from doctor murad. It's the one that worked for me. Now, the only trouble I have is the scars. Man, I can't get rid of them and they look aweful. If anyone has any advise it would be greatly appreciated.

I also SUFFER from this embarrasing condition. I can relate in the sex department also ... I have found that a sea salt scrub works wonders, and it calms down the pimples before it gets bigger and painful. As for the scars, tanning your butt will camoflouge(sp?)it. When I used to go to a tanning salon, I was for the first time not ashamed to look at my butt! The drawback, when the tan fades the scars reappear. Hopes this info can help someone.

I saw this and laughed. Its a good laugh though, I can totally relate. Lots of useful tips already here, so I will be brief. Exfoliate-good. I exfoliate with a loofah or a nice soap. Also, on occation, I have used one of those shower gels that help with breakouts where you don't want'em (apply to affected area) Now, this acne might only be do to ingrown hairs... they look the same, but our pores vary from face to body. Exfoliating on a regular basis helps with that. Actually, I came to reply to the scarring. Get a Zinc oxide cream or take a Zinc supplement (read directions on use please =P). Zinc helps with the healing of scars and tissue. There is also Mederma and other similar products. (Also, one should resist the need to 'pop' this, scaring and pain will follow). Ciao! ~Silent White

I have had success with neutrogena's acne body scrub and lotion. The combination of exfoliating with a salicylic acid wash and moisturizier works wonders. You don't want the skin to become too dry-trust me on this, or the skin can't do it's job of getting healthy. This also works if you have the same problem on the backs of your arms.

My son would get small pimples on his shoulders and back and fewer but larger ones on his butt. He told me Ponds foaming wash for oily skin cleared all of it up for him, and kept new break outs from coming back. After he told me about it, I remember it coming in a clear blue plastic foaming pump style bottle and it not being expensive, but it's been some time ago. I hope they still make it so you can try it. If something simple like that doesn't work, then you have to choose learning to play dot to dot on your butt with your sex partners or see if your doctor can order a medication to clear it up.

St. Ives apricot scrub (there's one for breakouts)works great for me. I've noticed that when I get stressed out I will get break outs. But I've made myself stop picking them and keep my hands off and I get fewer break outs!

I have tried everything there is. I tried stridex pads, safeguard soap, proactive. It is a sensitive situation to be in, therefore I am too embarassed to go to the doctor. I recently I bought some cream for rashes and what it does is dry out the pimple. I actually works, but I wish that it would just go away instead of dealing with this all the time!!

To all, I used to get the same thing in my pubic area, under my arms and on my butt. Go see a doc. You should use a dermatoligist. You need medical treatment for this. Good Luck. KMW

Ok so I have the same exact problem, PIMPLES ON MY BUTT. My boyfriend will comment on them, but since they are ALWAYS there he's got used to them (SAD). My problem is that I have long very fine hair on my booty, and well whenever I use a dipilitory creme or wax them off, I get so many bumps because the hair is coming back, is there anything that I can do for that? I appriciate all feedback!
