i have the same problem! its very embarrassing but i have found a way to get rid of it! in the shower, i use neutrogena scrub and i leave it on for 30 seconds or so. then when i get out and dry off, i apply AmLactin 12% moisturizing lotion on the irritated areas. you can find this at any pharmacy and you dont need a prescription! hope this helps! try it once a day for a week or so! good luck!
i have some good products that I sell if you any problems like skin, hair, orweight prolbems. If you MEDMONDSON001@rochester.rr.comhave this problem please email me at MEDMONDSON001@rochester.rr.com and will talk more.
Hi everyone. I had same problem. It started when I was a month or two into my new desk job. More than 8 hours of sitting everyday. Then I took a job as a Chauffer (driver) where I was sitting in a hot car seat for 9 hours a day - and noticed that it became much worse. ***Maybe all of us here are sitting too much**
Thanks to studying and this page I learned as some of you said, it does look just like acne (pimples/zits) but it is more so a 'boil' or rash. And yes, the big ones can really hurt! - It does seem that it has to do with heat and bacteria. I am a CLEAN FREAK / Germo-phobe (so what could it be?)- because of the job situation I put myself in, it took (taking) more action. - The products that "skincarejunky" (page 1) and "xoxo55" (page 2) listed sound great. I too tried a TON of acne medication and it really did not do too much. (also on the backs of my upper arms!) I am now exfoliating more- with a loofa too (hurts at 1st...).
My recommendation: 1. Shower twice a day. 2. Exfoliate / Loofa sponge. 3. Product. (the Neutrogena s.acid w/moisturizer sounds great) 4. [i know this sounds funny]-get some air back there! If you are wearing Pantyhose only wear the sheer, if you are wearing shorts/briefs make them something that "breathes"- someone recommended 'cotton'- i guess that does sound right. 5. Proper diet (oh come now, must help a bit- I was eating a little bit of junk).
--------- Thank you all for the good ideas. I will check back for more. (nice to know we're all human eh!?)
P.S. If anyone has actual ACNE on their face or chest/back- I highly recommend "Acne Free". (Amazing name huh!?) It is like 'pro-active', but it is more time released and it cost half as much and i for one will tell you that it worked for me after 1 day! (Yes, they should pay me for this!) You can buy this at most pharmacy's (Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc). It is in a white box w/3 bottles in it. The main company that makes it is, "University Medical". ---- oh, and as for the wearing of Pantyhose. There are new Pantyhose ("Tights" in the U.K.) available now that have Aloe built in to them, and others that have Caffiene built in (to help with scars and cellulite!) What a modern and SILKY world! http://www.tightsplease.co.uk/caffeinetights/index.php
p.p.s.- giving yourself a once over during the day with a "Wet ones" nap cloth is a decent idea. (not giving bacteria a chance- and moisturizing at the same time).
Hi All!! I was so happy when I recieved an email from discovery with all of your replies! A message to XOXO and Chauffer, thanks so much! I will take both of your advice and try to utilize it. My only problem is that I have that fine long hair and it tends to break easily, and if it breaks too short then what ends up happeneing is that I get in-growns, so I am probably going to start waxing, because that seems like an answer for the hair, and I'll just apply the Neutrogena stuff as well. Thanks!!
Have you maybe tried putting some diaper rash cream on them as a spot treatment ? Ive occasionaly had this problem, and spot treating with toothpaste ( not gel must be the past, and YES it works! ) or a diaper rash cream seems ot dry them up.
I have the horrible problem of pimples on my butt...I have tried almost everything and nothin seems to help.I know the best thing for me to do would be to tell my dermatoligst, but the thing is, I am 15 and I am to concious to tell my mom...So if anyone has anything that will help, PLEASE let me know!!!
Hello everyone. I wrote here back in November and now here to tell you of my status. My problem has lessened, but has not gone away. If it were at 100% before, it is at... 70% now.
I did everything on our lists here, but one rule that I did break was wearing cotton underwear. Every -other day I wear spandex shorts under my sweat pants for going to the gym (to keep myself from bouncing around)- anyway- I think that can be a big factor.
I bought the Neutrogeana scrub (the moisturizer pack that comes with it is for your hair (on your head!)) - you can feel it working (stings a bit) if you scrub your skin hard before applying it. I was using a loufa sponge at 1st, but I am a "germ-a-phobe" so now I use a hard bristled pan brush (it is small, plastic and the top has a section for pouring soap into it- that part does not work too well)- it only cost .99 cents- anyway- scrubbing with that works very well-
MY upper arm 'acne' (tiny bumps) are gone!!!
as for the 'backside'- I will try to be strict with the cotton underwear only- and maybe try the aloe & caffiene Pantyhose! I am desperate!
HI All It was so great to hear all of your advice and I am definitely going to try some of the products. For all of you afraid to go to your dermotologist, don't worry about it. I felt the same and finally I told her about it and she said that it is way more common than we all think so just go in and have them take a look. She also gave me the advice on cotton underwear and not wearing tight pants. She also suggested I wash that area with an antibacterial soap like Lever 2000. Other tips are not wearing any pajamas to bed, this lets the area breathe. I was also thinking of trying Proactive. The person that tried it, did it work?
well, first of all do not put toothpaste on your butt or your face, the toothpaste burns the skin and instead of having a clean butt you will only have a dark-dry spot on your butt area, believe me on this. what you can do is take a bath with natural chamomille, the steam works well, it reduces the inflamation and cleans your pores, you can rinse with cold chamomille-water to seal your pores, also the sun helps, so try to find a spot where you can get butt-naked. I also found out that the yeast infection is also the reason for this pimples on your butt, so i recomend to go to a gynecologist to give you some medication, drink tons of water and take vitamin B5. I remember when i was doing modeling and my manager saw my zits, (we got to get naked) he told me that i needed to moisture my butt with almond oil, and take the vitamin E capsules and put it on the affected area. this worked very well. there is one thing though, I'm on my way through to get rid of this forever, i dont wanna do this whole process everyday. Have you ever watch those movies where you can see the girls' butt or when guys go to the strip club and watch those perfect butts and you wonder how they have such a beautiful butts without breakouts??.. well research works, so while you do my recomendations i will try to find the answer to this specific problem. this is my first time tryin to help someone, i bet my boyfriend will find out and i will get embarrased when he sees that i look through his computer on google lookin for : how to get rid of butt-pimples forever" anyways, I'D RATHER HAVE THIS EMBARRASING MOMENT IN A WAY TO GET MY KNOWLEDGE FOR MY OWN BENEFIT. dont you think?
ok so im a guy, almost 15 and i have pimples too and agree with what most of you say about them, except, since im a guy have NO idea what you guys are talking about, idk what lotion is what or anything like that, i clean that region and everything, i really don't sit that much, so can you guys help me, i don't want to tell my doctor, but am thinking about it on my next physical.. please help :[
hi. i have the same problem as everyone else. i too have these pimple like things on my butt. im really embaressed about them, too embaressed to go to the doctors. im only 15 so i dont have as easy access to all these products as other might. is there anything that i might already have at home that i could try to get rid of these grosse things!? PLEASE HELP!!
There is a product by mark. by Avon called The Body Squad Butt Fixing Cream. I couldn't find it on Avon's site anymore, so I think its no longer being produced, but I'm sure its available on ebay or elsewhere online. Here's a product description I found on an amazon.com listing (although it was out of stock on that listing) : "Our Butt Fixing Cream is designed to smooth, improve, firm and tone skin to improve your rear view from every angle. This unfragranced, lightweight cream is formulated with salicylic acid to exfoliate skin, lemon peel and chamomile extract to help brighten, even, firm and tighten skin. Soothes and refreshes. Leaves skin baby's butt soft."
LoL Okaaaayyy... Pimples on the butt are extremely common. I have them, my Son has them, just about everyone I have known and the ones I have seen naked...had pimpled-up butts. The back of the upper arm is also very common in people with delicate skin. You have these irritating little bumps in more places than what you think!
I have learned a-lot over the years. Rubbing alcohol DOES work. Every day and nite...getta spray bottle and apply..rub in. Aother thing you may not have ever thought of...BLEACH. Ever notice how your skin seems nicer in the summer, 'cause ya swim so much? One cup in tha tub (or what you are comfy with), works. Now remember..you may be allergic to bleach, so takes it easy and test first! Speaking of "swimming" the other blessing, when used moderately is tha sun! I spent a summer in tha pool and I pulled up my suit into my buttcrack every day, for 15 minutes. My skin was clear! Now that I am ant-sun...my skin is unhappily pimpled. I fear I must return and risk a few more freckles for clear skin! I hava friend that had back acne and he used a sun lamp...it worked!
Ok...anuther thing...hydrocortisone cream! Yep...it works! Rub in at least after tha bath! I've done it before I go to bed...then I wakes up with a nicer butt. Now as far as boils go....I hate to tell ya but you need to get off your butt. My Sister with downsyndrome had gigantic boils as big as half dollars, all over the rear and legs....all from sitting all the time. A common problem with obese people. If you don't sit a-lot and still get boils...seea doctor. My Sister took something that made her hair fall out, but the boils went away. I rekkon ya need to think that one out...exchange that isn't a nice one!
Last note: NEVER use steroids on your face! You will look lika strawberry and the effects are forever. If the doc tries, you refuse! I had perioral dermatitis for several years and my allergist argued that it was a form of dandruff and forced steroid cream on me. That nite, I hadda frighteningly severe facial blushing episode. If you have rash around the mouth...and you use Advair...nuff said. Anyways...back to tha butt...that toothpaste thing was really sillie.
something I began to try some days ago is using purell hand sanitizer with aloe and vitamin E I can't tell for sure but so far it helped alot it has ethyl alcohol already in it so it is a good antibacterial
This is a really embaressing matter... I am a female..... and I have an older sister she is 22 and her but doesnt have these bumps i asked her if she ever did and she said not useually but every once and a while... i asked her how she got rid of it.... and she says she uses bikini zone.... you can buy it at walmart, k mart, wal greens, and any pharmacy.... it does get expensive they have the shower gel and after shower gel.... but you gotta do what you gotta do... the bikini zone after shower works well by itself you only use i little bit at a time cuz its about 10 to 15 dollars for a medium sized tube... (b cuz it works) actually makes me feel more confident when i use it...

Hi- I've been suffering from this for a years and years. I'm not sure if they are boils or pimples. I've tried witch hazel, diaper cream, boil cream, antibiotics, apricot scrubs, salts scrubs. Nothing works. Anyway, after reading this blog, I tried some of your suggestions and found something that works! I took graphicsgal33's advice and bought Lever 2000 bar soap (the one with Vaseline Intensive Care in it) and bought a soap sack My rashy pimply butt bumps are 90% gone. Its been about a month.
I've recently noticed I've been getting these as well. Small ones, not boils or anything too serious. However they're absolutely embaressing.
I do have a yeast infection right now, so the one post about this being a cause seems sensible. I plan on trying the Lever 2000, Purell, and rubbing alcohol primarily.
I loofah every other day when I shower, but this doesn't help heaps. I hope these work! ... I have someone special coming back to town soon
Wow. Its really nice to know that other people have the same problem I do. When I first discovered these bumps on my rear, I freaked, thinking that it would only get worse and would be the end of any 'serious' relationship. Well, it has gotten worse. I have read that cotton underwear lets your pores breath better. Im defidentley going to take that into consideration the next time I go shopping! Rubbing alcohol has worked for me in the past, so Im going to reserect my past regemen and give it a go with that stuff. I am a teen, going through what all teens go through: acne. I have it on my face ( not as bad)back, and...butt. Now I only have what looks like sun spots on my shoulders, so it isnt bad their. I went to the dermatologist and got my face fixed up, but was too embarrassed to tell anybody about my problem. The derm put me on a benzoyl peroxcide wash, an ointment to put on during the night, amd a pill. Its working very well for my face, but not my bum. Im going to try these sugestions and hopefully will improve my condition. Thanks!
Does a Skin Condition such as Acne, Scarring or Eczema hold you back in life?
Is it affecting your career path? Perhaps you would like a career with a more public side e.g. modelling or acting.
Does it affect your self esteem or how you relate to others?
We are making a documentary for the BBC on skin disorders and are looking for people to help us understand the impact they can have on people’s lives.
With the help of dermatologists, the documentary will also be looking at available treatments – both traditional and cutting edge – and exploring their success.
If you think that ridding yourself of a skin condition would change your life dramatically, please get in touch with me at emily.smith@zkktv.com or call me on 0207 231 6271.
The documentary is aimed at an audience between 18-35, so I am particularly keen to talk to people in that age range. We are at the research stage and there is no obligation to take part in the documentary.
Thank you,
