Just wanted to let my friends know I had to put one of my kitties to sleep on 07-05-08. Her name was Bunny and I loved her so very much. I keep losing everything I love, first my mom and now one of my kitty kids. Here is a poem for Bunny.

Poem For Cats

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

Thank you all for putting up with my crying.

Deb, I'm sorry for your loss.
Our kitties are our kids too,
especially when we have no child of our own.

We never truly lose our love ones,
for they are always in our hearts.
Though they are gone physically,
their essence of their spirits
are always with us
imprinted into our souls
and one day we will be reunited with them.

my bird, Tweety died a few years ago. I wish there was something that i could have done. i just looked over at her cage one day and saw her breathing really heavily at the bottom of her cage. i told my dad and when my mom called (she was at the stor at the time) my dad told her to buy a box to put Tweety in. when my mom came home she took Tweety out of her cage and she just died in my moms hand. we buried her out in the back yard. it was so sad. Frown i can still remember when i used to live in Michigan and Tweety was sitting on my dads shoulder and my mom was saying, bite daddys ear and she actually did it. she was so smart. she could count, she could tell when rain was coming and she memorized 5 different whistles. i got a new bird about a month after that. we went to the pet store to get my turtle some food and we passed by the birds and there was this really tiny and quiet one that just came right up to us. i gave my mom the look and she said it was too soon. so ya we ended up taking her home and i named her Nia. she acts more like Tweety every day and sometimes my mom accidentally calls her Tweety. in the memory of Tweety

we'll always be friends

Lock & Kelsey, thank you so much for your kind words about my kitty Bunny. It hurts so much but at least I know she is not suffering and Jesus is taking care of her now.

Lock you are so right about when you don't have any children, your animals tend to take up that void...I treat all my cats like babies.

Wolf, I am sorry for your loss too...I know how much it hurts.

For Debbie and her Bunny.
We listen the human, what if we listenened to our beloved pet?

To: Debbie
From: Bunny

If it should be....
If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
and pain should keep me from my sleep,
then you must do what must be done,
for we know this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand,
but don't let grief then stay your hand,
for this day, more than the rest,
your love and friendship must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years,
what is to come can hold no fears.
Would you want me to suffer? So,
when the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend,
only stay with me until the end,
and hold me firm and speak to me,
until my eyes no longer see.

It is a kindness that you do to me,
although my tail it's last has waved,
from pain and suffering I have been saved.

Do not grieve, it should be you,
who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Be at peace my friend, Debbie Frown

Bunny loves you!

Honestly, that poem presented itself with an astonishing flare while I searched for worth while words of wisdom and true peace...
I spoke with Deb. We talked about Bunny and her traits (couldnt remember if I saw a pic of bunny or not) and I came across this poem at the last moment. This poem spoke {DEB} all around! No decision was needed.

As long as Deb is comforted, thats all I require.
