In 2001 I was on a recuring business trip to the DC area. Having landed at BWI I signed up for a super shuttle ride to DC. All went well. On the return ride to BWI there were 4 of us in the van. As we got closer to the airport we started to notice a funky smell and exchanged worried glances with each other. After a few minutes the driver annpunce that he thought there might be a problem with the electrical system. He called for a back up van but announced that by the time it got to our location 2 of the people on the van would miss their flight but.... his cousin lived only a few blocks away and he was sure the van could make it that far if we were willing. Once there his cousin would let us use his car to complete the trip. We were leary of this solution but saw no thher way to get to the airport on time so agreed. We got to the cousin's house where his aunt was making lunch and wanted us to have something to eat before we continued as she knew we were coming and made extra. We explained our time problem and thanked her for her kindness. We transfered luggage to the cousin's very aged white lincoln (I think it was a lincoln) and piled in along with the cousin who needed a ride to his job at the barber shop which as almost on the way to the airport. Well, we finally arrived. I have to say that the young driver and some pretty good problem solving skills!
