I've been obsessed with alaska ever since i saw the movie into the wild which is only the most insperational movie ever, except for the sad ending. Since then i've been dieing for the oportunity to see if my sister and i could survive alaska. I think i've concluded that with our wit and problem solving skills we would be a great team. the only thing to make it more fun would be if bear grylls was on my team, right ladies, any way. just saying sign me up and i'll be there

What about Into The Wild inspired you? This kid foolishly stomped out into Alaska with no knolledge of wilderness life. If he had done just a little more reading about what to eat and what not to eat and how to tell if something is not good to eat, what to do if you eat the wrong thing. He ate barries that caused him to starve to death.
It sounds as though you are on the same track as he was.... you are DIEING for the oportunity to see if you can survive.
Not sure what part of the movie inspired you... the dieing or the freedom to live your life without intervention from your parents??
I will tell you this, Wilderness living is an every day chore you cant just sit back and order fire wood delivered or steak pre wrapped ready to pick up. It is a never ending task. your chores have to be done between sun up and sun down in this life style. You have to be prepaired and ready to give up every you take for granted. If you do take on this type of life style I wish you the best, and advise you to read, study and practise all you can about this type of life. And keep some charcoal on hand in case of poisoning issues from food poisoning to eating the wrong berries. It saves lives everyday in the ER. due to poisoning of all sorts.
