Last week, my mother woke me up with a request: "Sign the family up for the Alaska Experiment" show. I have not seen a single episode, but here I am, asking to be signed up. I lived my whole life in a city. True, I wasn't born in US, but I lived in Philadelphia, PA for the last 11 years. My mother was super excited for the show and said that it would be a great challenge and a lot of fun. Our family is very close; therefore we all want to be there together. My mother and father (both 50 years old) work in a hospital. In addition, my mother hates the cold. My sister, 19, would feel more comfortable on "Dancing with the stars" as she danced ballroom for many years. Finally, myself - 23, graduate of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. We are definitely city people. However we are not at complete loss. As I said, our family is close and I believe that as a family we can survive Alaska.

I would love to give this a shot. I grew up on a ranch in Central Montana. Would like to try my hand at surving Alaska. It would be a real challenge. To make it more interesting, I'll bring my wife and 2 teenage daughters. Let's do it.

first of all this show is a joke. This is probably the easiest expierence for these people to be involved in. This is more of a vacation than anything. Me and my 2 brothers could do this with our eyes shut. I challenge you to take us in and see what happens. I bet that we would never come acrossed a problem. All 3 of us our eagle scouts . Seriously make this a challenge not a joke.

This would be an such an awesome opportunity. I would love to try this out with my 2 twin brothers. All Florida born and raised. We all grew up in an air conditioned house and worship our electronics. It would be amazing to go out there in the mountains and snow and try to live. Especially since I probably have more survival skills then both of my brothers combined and I'm the youngest. (20 and my brothers are 25)

Just recently caught this show on Discovery. Can't get enough of it. Went hunting up there in the 90's 3 years in a row. It is truly "The Last Frontier". Had some unbelievable experiences among which was a grizzly with 3 cubs confrontation. Will never forget and only hope to return someday. So I guess I'll add my name to the growing list.
