im a teenager and this seems like it is not a hard chalange i live in wisconson and have hunted and fished my entier life and ive been to montana to hunt elk and 2 keep warm i had to cover my self in snow this chalange wlould be a good test but i think it would be easy also th smates people on the show this time is jeff and elsiabith because they used there hands to catch the fish insted if casting 40 times to catch 1 fish buth they could have improved just by using the 10 foot net they were provided with thats all i have to say now

I dont think minors can participate because this is a little bit different.
Even with Parental consent, It really is your wellbeing. if something were to happen to you on a show like this, the general public would ask, "How could a parent have let their child do something so dangerous?!?!"
There also is the issue of school. Most, if not all, people under the age of 18 are still in highschool.
Since the show spans from september to November, you would be missing about a third of a school year, which, again, may cause the general public to castrate the producers of the show or even your own parents.
I'm going to be 20 in a month, and I applied, but my sister is 17. Honestly, I dont think someone under 18 and out of highschool has had a chance for their hormones, and therefore, their emotions to stabilize.

This is just a general statement though.
