i wouldnt, but people do.

just make sure you have alot of plants and hiding places, and do not put them together if you have less than a 55 gal tank.
also, be sure that you have a place for the fish if they attack eachother and must be seperated.

well i just ogt a new 30 gallon tank not ever two days ago my oscars where put in the tank yesterday in twith some minnows to eat the oscars would go like half way up the tank but then swim down. I put some cichlid bio-gold floating pellets and the oscars would do the same swim half way up then go down and they wont eat flakes. My eel im not sure what type of eel but its semi-agressive so i thought that would do fine in the tank with the oscars. anyway waht does he eat he went up this sog and wont come out to eat! he has me worried.

but in all of the troubles i am very happy to see my very wonderful couples!

1rst couple : Oscars-names: Lulul,Riley

2nd couple:Firemouth cichlids:names: Frick, Flow

and then theres my eel : pencil Bob

that is far too many fish for your 30 gallon.

your eel is probably a rope fish, greenish with small fins all the way down the back, and a wide mouth?

the rope fish will eat frozen brine shrimp, the oscars will do best with live food, if your oscar is small try tuffies or feeder guppies before trying larger fish like feeder goldfish.
