Im new to breeding and my dalmation molly just had one fry. Is it possible for her to have only one fry? and alsohow big are they when the first come out because im not sure if it was born a few days ago. please post quickly

Yes it is possible for ehr to have 1 but there will be more to come. The fry are only about 1-2cm bit when they are born and they will eat microworms, BBS (baby brine shrimp), and crushed flake food.

The mom and dad WILL eat the fry.

it is possible but very very uncommon for them to only have one fry

you are most likely only seeing one because some may be hiding well or the other fish already ate them. the mother will often eat them directly after or during birth.

the fry are not 1-2 cm in length they are more like 1/2 cm or about 5 mm or so. thats about 1/4 of an inch.

the best way to tell age if you arent sure of the day they were born is that between 5-7 days they start free swimming around the tank rather than sulking/resting along the bottom.
