I Believe tetras are tropical and I know for a fact that guooies are not. So, if you want either spicies of fish to die on you, don't even THINK about putting them together. Seperate tanks, yes, same tank, N-O
I had a tank with two neon tetras and two guppies. they got along excellent as they are both community fish. A good site to check compatibility of fish is www.aquarium.net It has some good compatibility lists on there. It also claims guppys and tetras can live together.
Yes they do. I have 2 guppies and 4 neon tetras in my 10 gallon and they have been doing just "swimmingly". yeah that was really cheesey I'm sorry but if you don't take my word for it, then try this compatability chart:
Hi, I'm part of this network of fish enthusiasts and I always say you better do a lot of research before you plank (down a) ton of money..
looks like you're doing that. smart move! there are some fish that eat guppies for breakfast, so keep that in mind if you decide to add even more fish.. good luck! fishfool
