Well...I once had two male bettas (not at the same time, obviously they would have fought with one another) in a community tank with all kinds of other fish, including tetras, and neither one ever so much as bothered any of them...
im sure you didnt have a one gallon tank like sarah does, im sure it was much bigger, and also sarah is asking about one tetra in with her betta. in which case a betta will attack and kill a single tank mate in close quarters. a betta in a larger set up with many fish will rarely have a problem.
You're right, sully, I was talking about a larger tank with many more fish. Didn't know she was referring to a one-gallon, in which case yall are absolutely right.
