I believe that BOTH could be great leaders, but Maybelline really needs to have a larger group for support. I doubt if the Whiskers males will be sticking around long, since they only hung around for about a month the last time immigrated to Aztecs. However, I did notice that the two young Lazuli males (Bash and Bosh) have been hanging around the Aztecs, so maybe if they stick around long enough, good things might happen. Of course, I don't know which groups have the dreaded TB so I better be careful what i wish for.
Rocket Dog will be just fine. Let's just hope and pray that her current pregnancy will be a successful one and MM Season 4 will be able to introduce her little ones to us all.
Well hold on guys, this is our first time seeing Mayblline step up to the plate. Lt's give her a chance and then we'll see who has the guts to follow the steps of Flower.

I think Maybelline and Mozart look alike. They do have different fathers, though. Maybelline is Youssarian's and Mozart is Zaphod's. RD does indeed look like Flower. Youssarian is RD's father, too. Youssarian does live on.
I think Maybelline is bolder, and Rocketdog more cautious,(both good traits) but also think it's too soon to tell...they are young and bound to make mistakes, and hopefully learn better for the next time.
I also think Rocketdog looks like Flower..and I think Mayelline's face reminds me of Mozart! (maybe wishful thinking)

Sometimes I wonder if the personalities that MM provides aren't just a lot of hype anyway. For example, I don't think Yossarian was as crazy as they made him out to be.
I think that they have to have a crazy meerkat as well as a casanova. It makes for a great story. But, I vote for both Maybelline and RD. I think the group was way too big and it had to splint. Glad that Maybelline took the 1st step or she may have been kicked out by RD. She is a feisty one.
YEA, Mayblene sure is brave for her first battle as a DF of a group . Maybe she's like,more READIER TO GO than Rocket Dog. I dont know, their both great. We'll just have to see.
Chris 9691, I think MM somewhat creates different personalities, too. I don't think Youssarian was really that goofy. He was DM in the beginning and then later, too. Flower allowed it and DFs want strong DMs. I don't think she was stupid.
We don't know why he initiated the disastrous burrow move...maybe he actually didn't. And it did indeed appear that he was the only one to help Daisy move her pups at night. But who knows.
I hope they both do well, although I think Rocket Dog has a better chance of prospering long-term, due more to her situation than to anything else.
As for the Youssy mentions... I think it was more his posture and the way he moves sometimes that was the only realy goofy part. Always crossing his paws... aww... I miss the ol guy.

I also think they must embellish or exaggerate personality traits of certain meerkats. But it is very clever of them..since that's why we fall in love with certain ones. It's the personalities, as well as the story-lines that make the "stars" of the show and create a fan following. "Who's your favorite Meerkat?"..LOL
Personally I think it way to early to tell. I mean season 3 just ended and niow we look forward to season 4. But it will be Rocket Dog and Maybelline's first chance of a great leader through the winter. Winter is tough in the Kalahri... its cold, little food its a battle field out there. So it all depends on how they lead though the winter... the cold, the hunger fighting off rival gangs over land. It will also depend on the strengh of the family. It will probably be tougher on RD cause she has the larger group, but that means good protection and a close family bond for whats left of the whiskers anyway. The Aztecs well I think there in for a roud awakinig. They have the Whiskers and Zappa to cmpete with and there the smaller of the groups. If they dont have pups or pick up roving meerkats these 2 groups could run the Aztecs right off there land like the Commandoes did to our poor whiskers. It's really to early to tell so we'll have to wait and see what season 4 holds for us.
Maybelline may be bold, but she is the one who almost turned the burrow move into a complete disaster. And she tried to stop the pups from going outside the burrow.
Rocket Dog ran away from the fight before chasing off the Zappa. Not to mention the baptism of fire she went through in Flower's absent.
I think they will both be great leaders. Why choose anyway? Can't they be equally great leaders? They are both Flower's daughters. I think that almost anyone of Flower's children could be a good leader if they tried.
They are both Flower's offspring and even though they both look so different (I agree with everyone a/b Maybelline looking like Mozart and RD looking like Flower), they each have charisma. If they both do well, it is a testimony to Flower.
Regarding Youssy's burrow move attempt -- According to TCB's book, Youssy tried to initiate the burrow moves because the burrow the Whiskers were staying in was completely infested with parasites that were making everyone itchy and miserable, not to mention conditions were hazardous to their health. In other words, he did what he did because he was trying to be a leader...not because he was "crazy", as the show would have us believe.
Poor little guy...I hope he's happy and loved and at peace wherever he is...
Oh...and did anyone else notice that shot of the Kinkster sitting with her forepaws crossed in "Three Degrees..."? Looked just like her daddy.
True, it's still early to tell, and I do hope that they both lead their respective clans in a way that would make Flower proud. Judging by her initial actions as DF though, I would have to agree with you mitchlover11 and say "Maybe It's Maybelline".

First things first, I love them both, and they are both Flower's daughters. I think like ATH it may be too early to tell. I will say that in my heart, I'm a bit partial to RD. She picked up the ball when Flower did not come back and despite the circumstances and misfortune, she stood her ground, even after losing her own pups. I sometimes wonder whether Flower would have been able to hold on to the entire mob with drought and ever rising population? Just my thoughts. Go RD!!! Go Maybelline!!!
I also think that Rocket Dog deserves a lot of credit for beating back all challenges to become the DF of the Whiskers. In the end, she will probably benefit from the recent reduction in the number of members. Hopefully she can perfect her leadership style as she adapts to the job of DF.
As for Maybelline, I give her a lot of credit for keeping her small group together over the last few months. Hopefully her group will continue to grow, especially now that Zaphod and her brothers have joined the Aztecs.
You know we cannot choose between the two sisters (oh and by the way, they are not littermates, Rocket Dog is older than Monkulos because Rocket Dog was in the litter before Monkulus) ANyway we cannot choose between the two sisters because they are both there mothers daughters ...Rocket Dog is great because she is leading a big group, and Maybelline is great because she left the Whiskers and started her own group which every great leader does...I don't believe that we cannot pick a favorite because they both are the queen's daughter and we should be proud of both of them because we know that they both will doa great job in leading there pwn families
I think this is old news by now, it's posted everywhere, but Hoax first appeared in the life history reports in July with wild dominants. As has been posted elswhere it appears both Sophie (Tina Sparkle) and Suggs are with this new group. The life histories for September and Ocotber list VWM109 (Suggs) as absent at the end of each month.
