Yup thats right I am posting again and heres a shocker its kind of controverial!

When I first heard Whiskers werent doing so hot about 3 months ago I would have never thought of what the preview said. I dont think any of us had.

My point being is this the end of the whiskers? I got a feeling this is last season with whiskers less of course they did 2 seasons at once like last year. If the numbers diminish then I have a hunch they will switch to televising, "Commando's." We all got into meerkats and whiskers maybe not all at same time but we all love them, This is just speculation, but if Commandos do become the televised clan becouse they are the dominate ones at the moment we will be joined by people that dont know much about the whiskers and pit each other against each other kinda sort.

If the commandos become the televised clan then the roles will switch, Whiskers will be the ones percieved to be like the Commandos were last year and this could make any new viewer dispise the whiskers like some do the Commandos, but on the other hand, everyone loves a story line where the hero or heroess have a fall then come out on top again. lol sorry if I'm looking to far but this premier had to bring me out of posting other then my names post.

Good question.
And I wonder if the Whiskers get overthrown, would A.P. use another mob and call them the Whiskers????
Time will tell, but I think we are all truly worried about the Whiskers family

I think AP did this preview for a big build up for season 3. Things don't sound good, but the Whiskers are a tough Mob and they always band together when things get tough. I think they will be all right.
I am sure it was hard for them to lose Flower, but whoever is dom-f is now, which could be Mozart, she is tough enough to get them through. As far as what the KMP site says who is dom-m of the Whiskers they still have Zaphod as dom-m.He's tough too. Smile

over a year ago, most of us turned on our tv's to a new show, called meerkat manor. some that night fell in love with it. others watched it after a few episodes had passed.

we fell in love with flower, zaphod, and the rest of the gang. we laughed, we cried, and we worried.

and now, a few months ago, we learn our flower is gone. and mozart will most likely take over. but, if she does, she is closely related to zaphod. and, if he steps down, youssy would most likely lead. and zaphod would leave the whiskers. there was once a case like this, and some followed a different leader. that group became the gattaca.

my worst fear is, if zaphod or youssy leaves, some might follow. if youssy were to leave, big will would most likely follow. if zaphod left, mitch would probably go with him. i dont want to see the whiskers split again. in season 1, it was almost permanent. what if that happens? our beloved whiskers gang splitting up. the whiskers, that we have watched the lives of for over a year. split. i would not want to see that happen. it is to sad to think about. and it is a possibility.

so many questions for season 3!!

is youssy DM of the lazuli?
why would a gang of 40 meerkats be driven away by a gang of 25? could something have happened to make them smaller?
will we ever see shakes or tosca again? was shakes infected with TB by big sye?
WHO WILL LEAD THE WHISKERS, ANS START A NEW LEGACY THAT WILL LONG BE LIVED, AND REMEMBERED?

only season 3, holds our answers.

Welcome back to posting Meerkatnut - I don't understand how the commandos took all the Whiskers' territory - we have seen a burrow takeover - but the Whiskers are strong - Flower died during the tough time but they probably already had a plan in motion - and her daughter - probably Mozart - will continue to lead to Whiskers through this -

Yo nutter

Nice to see you here stirring things up again.

Now I take the preview with a grain of salt. It certainly had the impact that they wanted it to. Folks started worrying and wondering and that is going to bring them back to the tele on August 10th.

We did not see Zaph, Yoyo, Mozart or Kinkaju but that doesn’t mean they are not there.
They didn’t say the Commandos took over all of Whiskers territory and the Whiskers had the largest territory. I think what must have happened is the Whiskers had to move their main birthing burrow out of the line of fire. We may see some of Flower’s pups go the way of Mozart’s and Cazanna’s and that will be especially hard to watch. I do hope some of her last pups survived.

All this is not an unusual phenomina, it is actually the usual. The Whiskers under a strong leadership enjoyed an exceptionally easy time for years and now they need to regroup.

I think it will be an exciting, heartbreaking and interesting Season on the new Manor.

Part of me can't bare thet thought of watching S3 and I know in the end I will. As I've said before, I'm sure my heart will be breaking the whole time. Hopefully, there will be a lot of joy to go with that heartarche!!!

My dream of dreams is that the premier is just a lot of hype and things really aren't that tough for our little mob.

Now remember, the Whiskers probably have more than 40 members in the group since winter ended. You see, If Mozart and Big Will can lead more burrow raids to their enemies,(Starkies, Lazuli) they'll gain more confidence and will get stronger, that soon they'll be able to overpower the Commandoes. So, let's hope the best for the Whiskers.

Yo Shakesboy

Just speculation but what if

Yoyo and Big Will have defected and gone with the Lazuli.

Mozart is gone and a younger queen is on the thrown?

Lordy, what if Daisy is in charge?

What if Kinkaju has taken a group away from Whiskers, leaving their numbers lower than the Commandos

What if some natural disaster or disease has weakened the Whiskers mob?

What if the Whiskers didn't kill that cobra and its picking off Whiskers one by one Eek

What if....sigh...

Yeah Pronker. Whoa, now you 9 times out of 10 that none of those things will happen. Now I can really see those things happening to the Lazuli. But wait, Youssarian is the DM of the Lazuli now. He'll take care of his family.
Then Mitch will be the DM of the whiskers just like his dad was. So it's all good for the whiskers. I doubt Big Will will leave his family
since he's the DM of the Whiskers.

if they are now neighboring the Zappa and the Starkies then they are most likely on the edge of the kmp land. less farmers which means more jackels.
ps. big will isn't leader. is he?

Guys, I don't think Big Will is DM. That came from Wiki, I think and not to be trusted. The fact that MM sneak peak didn't mention Zaphod, doesn't mean that Zaphod is out. MM can be tricky that way, to create more excitement and buzz. Like they need to...

If you go 2 the MM TV schedules, you'll see that After Flower was killed and then Mozart was accepted backl into the group and became the DF.And mated with Big Will and had 4 pups. Don't you see, that is the only reason why Flower accepted Mozart back into the group, so that once she was gone, Mozart would take her place, as DF of the Whiskers.

We don't even know if mozart made it back to her mob. And Flower had not evicted her that time. So it's not a matter of accepting her as much as Mozart actually finding them. Mozart did not mate with Big Will. Big Will is her brother.

In the last episode Mozart had given birth; Flower made another of her famous burrow moves, abandoning Mozart and her babies. Mozart tried to do for the wee ones, but had to eat and left to go foraging.

This was our first sight of the Commandoes march into Whisker's territory. Little did we know at the time the consequence would expand beyond the killing of Mozart's pups.

The last we saw of Mozart she was foraging near the Great Dune, unaware her babies were dead. The narrator said she was very close to the Whisker's new burrow. Would she return to the Whiskers? We are waiting to find out.

What if she returned to her babies? A lone meerkat, and the Commandoes were still in the territory and on the move. Too terrible to think about...
