Well if everyone hasn't seen yet on AP season 4 of MM starts 6-6-08 @ 8:00 pm. Now lots of tragic things have happened over the past year and it will be very heartbreaking. First off Flower's movie "A Story Begins" airs on May. 25 @ 8:00 pm. And then Season 4 on June. 6, 2008. And my question is how many of us are going to watch season 4? Its been so diificult lately and I can't decide if I'll watch it yet. Its just soo... soo sad that I don't know if I can watch another episode of a leader passing away. Flower was soooo hard on me.... and then Rocketdog I dont know if I can take it.
If your watching season 4.... share you thoughts If your not share your opinions on season 4....
SEASON 4 STARTS ON 6-6-08! IN 27 DAYS WE SEE THEM AGAIN....

Yo
I will happily watch the courageous efforts of Rocket Dog leading her family forward. She and the other meerkats in the branches of Whiskers are Flower's legacy and each one of them represents what is good and brave and fascinating about meerkats. We have learned so much from watching and they will teach us even more.
"When you are able to recognize individuals, with certainty, as we can, you start to see how quickly individuals pass through their lifespans, how fast the tides of life flow. In meerkats most individuals are probably dead before their third birthday; even dominant breeders seldom live for more than ten years." ~Tim Clutton-Brock MM:Flower of the Kalahari
This is what we are learning through observation and must accept as normal for meerkats.
Rocket's life was brief but brilliant. She did not give up and I will not give up on her or her family.
Honor what they teach us by watching. Honor Rocket's life by learning. Honor what you learn by understanding. Understand that this is a meerkat's life and it is precious to behold.

Well said Pronker! I will continue to watch Meerkat Manor how ever many seasons they produce. Even though death is a very real part of their daily lives, I feel priveledged to be able to watch them on TV and read all the fascinating details at the KMP website.

Bravo Pronker!
I agree 100%...the meerkats are and always will be a fascinating creature to behold and I am prepared to take the happy events as well as the sad. So yes I will continue to honor them for as long as AP/KMP makes them available to us as viewers/fans.

There is no question that I will watch the show! I love these meerkats, and will never stop watching them! I do understand some people's point of view losing a lot of loved original Meerkats, but in my opinion they are still around. Some people say that Flower is gone so they will not watch, well, Flower has many offspring still around, so some part of her is in each of those meerkats. Also, even though other offspring of Flower's have passed on, like Rocket Dog, she has offspring that not only have a little bit of Flower in them, but, also a little bit of Rocket Dog in them, that's double the great genes in these meerkat pups, but this goes for all of Flower's offspring, I just used RD as an example.

It will not be easy watching and nowing that some will die again, but life goes on. I can't wait. I have ordered the DVD and when available, will probably order season 4. There are many life lessons in the show, and I think about the Meerkat Motto that I have hanging in the room. "Leave your Mark" means more than scent marking to me. They have left their mark on how I feel about them. So small, yet have no fear. Always will be Flower's Place just new neighbors.

Hello everyone! These are such great posts! I will watch. I feel I owe it to Flower to watch the family that she lived and died for. I want to see little Rocket Dog's "season in the sun". We are fortunate to be able to see these kats.

I did not think I could but now I know I can. I love what you said Pronker. Flower was Rocket Dog's mom and RD then had her pups and they will in turn create wonderful memories for us also. I will cry of course because their lives are so very fragile. You never know in life what what will happen. It is all a gamble and you are dealt the cards and what ever comes up in your hand is how it will play out.
I am looking forward to the Flower movie, and MM starting on June 6th. With a heavy heart I will continue to watch. How can you resist them?

I will most definitely watch - regardless of what. It will be really sad watching RD - she was my hope, but what can you do? Death is as natural as birth.

Well said, everyone. I love all meerkats and can't wait to see MM S4. Thankfully it should be much happier than S3, according to the KMP LH reports. Sometimes the tragedies seem to overshadow the many happy events, including an end to the devastating drought and burrows bursting with healthy pups. We will see dear Rocket Dog alive and well through the whole season, along with her precious legacy Beaker and Nugget. What a thrill that will be! I hope MM gives her proper credit for learning to be a very good DM and worthy successor to Flower, as Monkulus/Maybelline is also. RIP, sweet RD.
> Death is as natural as birth.
This is true, Bischonmom, and probably the hardest life lesson we must learn and accept. Best Wishes to all

I will watch MM. I want to see beautiful Rocket Dog in her brief reign, and all of Flower's girls, and boys, like Zara and his new group, the Commandos.

I'm sitting here watching MM marathon, the epiosde with len and squiggy and reading Pronker's post and I must say that watching season 4 of MM is the best way to pay tribute to Flower and Rocket Dog, as well as the other kats we've loved and lost. It is sad to know that their lives are so short and fragile, but we are very lucky to get a glimpse into their lives. S4 will give us the chance to see Flower's family carry on her legacy in the Kalahari.

I will watch to see and honor these precious meerkats but I must say I had the hardest time watching the Season 3 marathon. I cried so much during the Len & Squiggy episode, I don't know how I will make it through the movie! I thought the movie was called "The Queen of the Kalahari". I was confused and thought maybe this was another movie. Will the narration be by Sean Astin again?
I will watch Season 4 and watch as the new generations grow and to see how our RD triumphed along.

The name of the movie changed. It is "Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins" now. The narrator is Whoopie Goldberg. The new narrator of MM Season 4 is Stockard Channing.

Awww man, I love Sean's narration! Well I guess we will see what it's like to have someone other then him narrate when the movie comes on.

You all are so brave! I will probably continue with the approach I adopted during last season--not watch the initial airing and read comments and spoilers here before making a decision about whether to watch or not. There were so many Friday nights when I was left in a puddle of tears (plus ticked off so many times!) that it's probably the best way for me to go.

Hi toocoolalways! Nicely put! I have to keep reminding myself how tiny and fragile these little kats are, they are so amazing. There will be a lot of us honoring the Queen, and now the little Princess Rocket Dog by watching. Thank you for posting such beautiful thoughts! Have a wonderful day!

Rocket Dog's senseless death was just another arrow in our hearts. Watching Season 4 will be bittersweet, as we know the road we are traveling, but I owe it to Flower, Zaphod, Youssarian, Mozart, Tosca and all the rest to continue my journey with their valiant little ones through the beautiful but unforgiving Kalahari Desert.

i will totally watch. I was one of the luck few who knew of Flower's death months before it aired. because of this, I knew that it was going to happen and it still was sad but better then totally not knowing. Death is a natural part of life and, unfortunaly, animals like meerkats and dogs don't live as long as we do. I will watch Meerkat Manor for as long as it airs because I have accepted that the meerkats will die at some point. it is a sad thing but very true. after all, we also die at some point.
what I am upset about is that they say that they cannot help a hurt meerkat (like Flower) because they would be iterfering with what is natual in the desert. But, what happeneds if it isn't a natual cause? like what happened to RD? if they knew that they hit her, would they help her?

Will definitely be watching MM season four. As many have said, death is a part of life, but as long as we remember Flower, Tosca, Mozart and the other meerkats that are gone, they will always be with us.
Knowing what has happened to Rocket Dog, I am trying to thing of season 4 as a tribute to her courage as a DF.
