Since most of this past season has been about meerkat losses, I just wanted to post something positive about one of our favorite meerkats. Thank God he is still alive, and a dominant at that!

Let's celebrate that he is 10 years old this year and still with us!

Thanks Alyse928! I posted this on anyother thread but what I had been most interested in was Lola, Punk's sister. I thought that I saw Zaphod hook up with Lola and if Lola has her pups then she could possibly be the dominant and Zaphod would remain as her partner/companion. I am waiting anxiously for the fourth season to see what is going to happen to my next fav (Lola) when it comes to being the dominant female in their mob.

I thought Houdini chased Zaphod off while he was with Lola, and Zpahod eventually returned to the Whiskers (season 3). Has something happened between him and Lola since he joined the Aztecs?

No, unfortunately Lola disappeared late last year. She was pregnant, and lost her litter before that.

I too was hoping that Zaphod & Lola would hook up and start a new family. Together they would have formed a formidable group with all the experience that they both possess. I was crushed to see that Lola lost her litter then disappeared. I'm praying that she's still roaming the Kalahari.

I think Zaphod is the glue that holds us all together when we're down on MM. When I think of all the losses on the manor last year the one thing that makes me smile is knowing that Zaphod "the man" is still holding court on the other side of the world. Season 4's first episode better have him in it or else!!!!

Our Zaph is the Man - the Main Man!

Not taking anything away from Flower, because I believe she was a great DM...

Zaphod was key to her success.
Just the fact that he was DM insured the security of the Whiskers.
He is one of the great ones.
He also plays a great role in the success of the Aztecs.
He was always by Flower's side helping her to grow the family and protect it.
Their partnership was special.
His and Flower's progeny will become some of the Kalahari's next meerkat rulers.

Zaphod helped Flower turn the Whiskers into a juggernaut.

Zaphod being the DM of the Aztecs is a major reason why the Aztecs possess one of the largest if not the largest territories in the manor.

Any Kat that can survive 10+ years in the cruel and unforgiving Kalahari is truly special!

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Zaphod looks like a California "Dude"? He just needs shades...

I agree with Ninjamom! What a dynamic, caring partnership. Goes to show what can be accomplished when two pull together - although these are two exceptional leaders.
