Hello Everyone,

Earlier this week on the Oct. KMP thread I reported seeing brave Uncle Youssie. At that point he dropped a card saying, "I was never here." I began to suspect that he was perhaps working behind the scenes on some kind of a mission. As Ccatz talked about his tin foil hat I began to make the natural conclusion that he was out fighting aliens.

Today I am more certain of this than ever. While I was driving around I saw a cheese shop off the highway. They have a delightful cheddar which they age for 12 years. So I decided to stop and get some.

I walked through the door and noticed a plate with cheese curd samples on it. On the plate was a furry thing wearing what appeared to be a backpack. Next to him was something shiney.

The clerk was visibly upset because this creature was eating all the cheese curds. She tried to pull him away and when she did he nipped at her. It was then that I saw his face.

"Uncle Youssie!" I exclaimed. "What are you doing here and why are you eating all that cheese. Too much of a good thing can be bad for you." I began to go into length about the dangers of too much choleserol. he got this glazed over look on his face but listened for a time, with his paws crossed, as you would expect.

After about five minutes he shook his head as if to wake himself up. He unzipped his backpack and gave me another card. While I was reading it he grabbed the shiney object and made for the door. the card said, "You must tell them (over)" The other side said, "THEY are coming from the sky."

I looked at him and he at me. I nodded letting the brave Uncle know that I understood. He nodded back, put on his tin foil hat, and left the store. Of course he wasn't worried about his cholesterol. Uncle Youssie has bigger issues to deal with.

So know this my friends:

1. We definately face extinction at the hands of a powerful alien race.

2. Uncle Youssie is on the front lines fighting to save the world.

I was going to give him a curd for the road, but when I got outside he was gone. I don't know how he disappeared so quickly, but with the undoubtedly limitless technology at his disposal, anything is possible.

So be ready. Maybe Uncle Youssie will need our help in this fight.

If any of you spot him, please report it to us. We need to keep track of this brave soul and the circumstances of his current assignment.

In closing I say, "Thank You Uncle Youssie. You're the only one who can save us all!"

We are in meercamo and armed: dart guns, meal worms and eggs. Talk about scent marking! I think I just shot somebody, but you can figure it out for me. We are on the Welcome to the Burrow board

You wouldn't need cammo and Fluff will be thrilled to see you, make him more comfortable feel at home. Maybe you could start levitating now or something. We need your expertise on this mission.

I am so glad you met up with ZTM! Now we know how much the world needs you. I miss you so much! But you have bigger and better things to do. All of us want you back so badly but you have a greater mission.

You are a kind, loving soul who only wants to do good in the world. You always have. We all remember when you were the only one who would even try to help Daisy move her precious pups at night. And the time you frantically searched for Blossom and then tenderly cuddled and consoled her afterward.

Go forth with honor, Dear Uncle, we will always think of you and always love you.

I feel so much safer now that I know uncle Youssy is out there protecting us! No more sleepless nights worrying about aliens trying to subvert my squirrels and chipmunks.

OMG! It all makes sense now! As I traveled a lonely stretch of highway 93 today, blissfully unaware of the world around me with CCR serenading me, I caught sight of a small, furry, tin foil hat wearing enigma sitting on a road sign. I slowed to get a better look and, just as I approached, he tilted his head and the sun caught his shiny hat. Blinded by the light, I veered right into a ditch striking my head on the steering wheel. When I awoke, there on the windsheild was a card, strangely it smelled of cheese. On the card it said "Spread the word(over)" turning the card I was awestruck as I read "The bird is the word".

Do you think maybe Youssy is trying to tell us that the aliens will try to come disguised as BIRDS! Of course softball he couldn't tell you directly, he had to leave a cryptic message in case it fell into the wrong hands.

The bird Hmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder. I have a raptor attached to my helmet to aid in locating Fluff. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

HHHMMMM....I'm wondering, is Uncle Youssie throwing us a curve ball with the bird clue????

Maybe he feels we are not up for the fight yet. After all, how many of us even have a tin foil hat to wear? Even if we have one it is probably made of aluminum. I think Youssarian considers that of inferior quality. maybe it is a wild bird chase....

Then again, if aliens did take on the form of birds, who would believe it? It's the perfect cover.

Maybe if Youssie pops us someplace else we will get another clue....

Just make sure that it's not a real bird, it's an alien before you attack. Birds of prey are among my favorite animals and I won't have any innocent birds getting hurt on my watch!

Uh, I hesitate to post this, but I just saw a story online where squirrels caused power outages in two midwestern towns....

Also saw a story on the news this morning about a squirrel who entered a house through a doggy door and raided the dog's food 7 times in one hour.

I'm starting to get worried. Are these harmless hyjinx or a sign that THEY are here?

OH NO!!!!!!!! Aliens disguised as squirrels, now how scary is that! I'm shaking here!
I better be careful tomorrow morning when I fill up the backyard feeders.
I think there are actually websites devoted to the theory that squirrels are out to conquer the world. Maybe Youssy should read up on them.

The last time I saw Youssy was on the Ahhhh Fluffernutter thread on welcome to the Burrow. He had become a **star**, but I think if we all wish very, very hard, we can see Youssy here again. Uncle Youssy and his special ways will always be needed to keep this old Earth on track....

I won't have any innocent squirrels hurt on my watch either! I LOVE THEM! Also, a squirrel caused a power outage at my school one day several years ago and we got out of school. It died for a very heroic cause. In it's honor, we called it Squirrel Day. I forget what day it's on though.

BTW, I have information on another conspiracy. I heard that during World War I the French created a high-tech acorn look-alike and rigged it to destroy on their signal. That's why acorns have those berrey like tops and those little gottees. I heard that a French toddler found the button and pressed it. The squirrels and chipmunks are our only hope. I've also heard that Youssarian has joined forces with them.

I typed in a search for "Bird is the word" under images on google and the first thing that showed up was Big Bird's Favorite Songs on CD. I took the first letter of each song on the list and came up with JAWTTIYGEJWVRSS. Looking closely at “spread the word (Over)” and “The Bird is the word” I noticed “the word” appears twice.
I used a Vigenere/Quagmire for a cipher type with some program on a website. I used “birdis” for KeyWord1 and “spread” for KeyWord2 and came up with HOUMOYUSFERSYNC.
I thought it looked like it could be something so I put it into an anagram finder and it came up with 19930 results. The one that stood out the most was ”Such Omens Fry You”. I don’t know what omens Uncle Youssy is referring to but it doesn’t sound good if that is what he was saying.
Of course it could just be a coincidence.

Uncle Youssy is alive and well on the Mix board. He is the Science Officer on the starship KMP Whiskers, on Meerkats in Space.

Don't worry Attila! I love squirrels too, as you can tell by my screen name.
Hmmmm, so are the squirrels and chipmunks in league with the aliens or Uncle Youssy? I'll ask mine tomorrow morning and report back the findings.

Well, this morning when I went out to fill the squirrel feeders all my squirrels were wearing little tin foil hats! Now I'm not 100% sure that Uncle Youssy had been there, but I did find cheese crumbs among the empty peanut shells.
Sounds like Youssy's recruiting himself an army.

It's also a little known fact the Uncle Youssie is an accomplished Blues harmonica artist. If you hear a lively tune being played on a mouth harp and your squirrels are keeping time with their tails, Youssarian might be visiting your yard.

The next person to spot Youssarian be sure to tell him he made The Top 10 All-time Rover list at the KMP. I'm sure he'd be glad to know this!

Uncle Youssy would tip his little tin foil hat, click his heels together and he and the squirrels would strut their stuff. Go Uncle Youssy, go, wherever you might be roving.

Just wish we could all see you one more time; what am I saying? I see Uncle Youssy everyday. I really do, paws crossed with that quizzical look. Just wish I could reach out & touch him and give him that big smooch on the top of his head. When you wish upon a star...........!

News Flash...News Flash..This Just In!!

Rumor his it that the 007 of the MeerKat Nation, the "WORLD FAMOUS UNCLE YOUSSY" has been spotted digging in the Arizona and Califorina deserts.

It is believed that he now has a trusty apprentice, whom he is reportly grooming to take his place when he hangs up his rovin' paws. The young apprentice is rumored to be named Mitch and believed to be Uncle Youssy's nephew!

It has been reported they have been spotted trailing 2 female humans and a french poodle dressed in meerkamo.

No one is sure why these women and that dog are digging holes all over the desert. [To be honest I do know either! LOL But if they're havin' fun, I say let 'em dig]

It appears to the rare observer that Uncle Youssy and his ever trusty sidekick are cleaning up the mess those crazy ladies are leaving in their wake.

These rovers have also been spotted scent marking as much of the southwest as they can. For what reason this reporter asks?

Is the possible threat of a MeerKat invasion imminent?!! Are our deserts in danger from the possible attack by these adorable, and reportedly dangerously cuddly creatures?!!

This reported has no idea what the heck any of those goof balls are doing out there. And why are those women wandering around willy nilly like that? It is a total mystery to all that see them.
