What happened to season 4? Are they filming now? And does anyone know when it will start? I'm sure nobody knows but does anyone have an estimate? Cause I might go down to Florida again and I dont wana miss it.... Will it be like season 3 started.... like sometime in Aug or July? Somewhere around there? If nobody knows for sure could you please just give me and estimate or your opinion works too....

SEASON 4 HERE WE COME!!!!

I heard that Season 4 is to begin in June 2008.

Personally I'm not sure if I will be watching or not, between the live histories that have been posted and the fact that my favorites are gone my heart isn't ready to see more heartache.

Wilson is right.... watch season 4. Even though season 3 was very sad I feel that season 3 will be better and happier. We will get to see our RD as leader the new Aztecs the Zappa... there's a whole new world to season 4 and it would just not be the same if nobody watched it. Season 4 will be a blast!!!!

As a matter of fact the end of the previous year, before I knew about this board, I was absolutely sick because I was sure they had cancelled the series as it hadn't been on for so very long.

It doesn't really matter. Even though its 130 days till the first day of June starting tommorrow it will be here before ya know it. Sure its a long time to wait but it's competely worth it! Sure there's only 13 or 14 ep. but it is completely worth it. I'd wait 2 years to see our meerkats again. And I can wait 6 more months. For I love them and their worth it

What about the Flower movie? Anyone heard anything on that? I'm hoping Season 4 will be here soon! I'll have to watch Season 3 again to remember everything that happened. It was a very sad Season 3. I'm hoping Season 4 will be more playful.

and the movie is suppossed to be out before the start of the new seasons. hopefully i don't have to travel to england to see it! anyway, the movie will be great, but it is gonna be a little embarassing when i leave the theatre bawling my eyes out because i just watched flower die again. i mean there are probably gonna be moms and kids and it isn't very macho to cry

Cry! I've associated the Toto song Africa with Flower and now Zaphod. I burst into tears everytime I hear it. This was embarassing walking into work looking like I've been crying, so I told everyone the truth - I just heard a song that reminds me of someone I loved and had passed on - no lie. These kats are part of my family - our family.

Angie, Meerkata, I just re-read your Jan post about not watching MM because of the heartbreak. I seriously hope you reconsider. I'm a Reiki Master and we work with energy. I just KNOW these kats, across the world, are feeling all the love we are sending collectively - and there are a lot of us in different countries. Won't you please reconsider and enjoy them and send them love with the rest of us.

Don't let the demise of your favorites make you stop watching. Let a new meerkat take your heart and if they happen to die, just be thankful that you met them. Flower really has a special place in my heart and as much as I loved her I will watch MM as long as it's on. I will follow the LH reports and the FKMP website as long as the KMP continues. So I encourage you to keep an eye on them. Personally, I don't think the shrines and tributes should be continued. It's always nice to celebrate life but remember that there are still meerkats out there. Always look toward the future and if you keep watching, whether you like it or not, your heart will be stolen by yet another meerkat you just don't want to miss!

And as far as the new season, I'm really excited. I'm also excited for the movie. Don't forget that AP promised five seasons of MM. So enjoy!

Nobody needs to worry anymore. We all talked about waiting 6 months to watch Season 4 of MM but not anymore! Its almost April and that means only 2 months to season 4! Isn't that great? I cant wait.

Actually there has been a lot of GOOD news in the Kalahari during the filming of S4. The drought has ended, several new mobs have formed, and best of all the burrows have been bursting with pups! Yes, there have been a few tragedies, but IMO nothing that compares to the loss of FLOWER, Mozart, Kinkaju, JD/Carlos, etc., etc. in S3. Bring on the pups!!!

Another thought: With the uproar following the announcement of so many changes in S4, I finally realized that MM executive producer Mick didn't even mention S3's star Whiskers hero MITCH! I know the real Mitch has disappeared from the KMP area (Last Seen ), but after the huge buildup in S3 I expected the Mitch character (played by a different kat) to have a major role in S4. Hmmmmmmm...

Will they say Mitch has moved on to be DM of a different mob and now Axel is the courageous young Whiskers hero? Stay tuned...

There was no information about Mitch. Is MM going to surprise us? It seems that the characters of Wilson and Sophie are going to be portrayed by other kats, so I assume that it would be the same with Mitch (who was a major character on MM). Is Mitch going to be the DM of a group? There is such speculation for months.

I agree, but the executive producer (Mick K.) of MM announced via a representative, that this is going to happen regarding "Wilson", and "Sophie", who the new narrator is going to be, etc. Personally, I do not like the idea of a kat that passed away, disappeared, or left the monitored area to be "portrayed" by another one (because this kat was popular with the viewers).

Most MM viewers will be delighted to see Wilson and Sophie again, but it will backfire for some of us who know better. I will try to stay upbeat and enjoy watching the meerkats in spite of this blatant fiction. I will probably need to blow off steam here sometimes, though. I'm so glad we have each other!
