The groups seperating or were led to believe it is. Youssy may end up with the lazuli and the gattaca are evicted Whiskers, now Mozart might have her own clan.

With that said Im curious how will you pull for when you see the whiskers fighting the lazuli, the gattaca, or mzarts new clan if ses got one?

Going to get hard for old viewers to root mainly for Whiskers now I believe.

As I said in another post, by the end of Season 3 we will probably not see many of the original meerkats who were Whiskers in Season 1 and most of Season 2. The elders will all be gone for various reasons. A new generation of Whiskers has grown up while the filmers were off somewhere else (which really stinks) and a new storyline will have to be written. We are about 9 months behind reality.

They’ve obviously decided now to combine the Vivians and Commandos under one name: Commandos and will show them in different clips. Not reality. They’ll keep the dominants Hannibal (Jim Bob) and Nikita (Rhian Vivian) if they are still living and just show different clips of each mob as needed. Not reality.

Mozy and Kinkaju have started a new mob and they are going to call them Starsky or Starkies. Yes this was confirmed in the episode 3 synopsis. Neither of those names sounds like a name the KMP would give a mob, sorry, I just don’t believe it. They name the mobs based on themes.

My guess is that Zaph and Mitch are the oldest males still with the Whiskers and that could change at any minute due to their situations. Again this long lag time between filming really hurts the reality factor. By the time Season 3 starts airing we will be almost a solid year behind reality. So our favorites guys like Big Will, Uncle Yoyo and Pookie are probably long gone.

It makes it easier to default to one of the other mobs as a favorite, like NikitaCommando loves her Commandos.

We’ll probably still be interested in what happens to the Whiskers but I myself would love to see Princess Mozart have a long and happy reign over her own group. Not easy if Mz. Kinkaju has the smarts and ferociousness of her mother, Flower. She’ll have to keep at least one eye on her.

Pronker that is some pretty helpful stuff. I just hope our Mozy will be Dom.F for a long time and I hope she lives for a long time. But pronker do you know how old Mozy is?

Mozart was born in the Shakespeare litter so I think she will be 5 years old in the Fall.

Excellent thoughts pronker, but knowing AP, when I saw Starsky, I wondered if Youssy was Hutch?

AP's story and reality often have nothing to do with each other. We know from Seasons 1 & 2 that as they filmed, the individual personalities of the meerkats became known to the producers etc.

Once this happens they begin to identify those that will become the *top kats* which results in an meerkat character based story. AS you say the meerkats drive the storyline.

They must taken hundreds of hours of footage to get the *Character* with the *behavior* they want. But it is also what got them into trouble with Shakespeare. The little guy disappeared on them....they wanted him to be in a humongous battle scene with Big CY...but he wanted to go roving and start a family down the riverbed or across the reserve at the farm,so they substituted another meerkat, our Snickerdoodle in the battle with Big Cy and said here's Shakespeare.

But then where was Shakes in Season 2? No one knows or so they say.

I think we will still see AP's story, based on what has happened to our Whiskers to a certain degree, but not to the absolute truth. That will be read on the KMP site...someday.

If it turns out to be word for word what we see on Meerkat Manor, I will eat that scorpion, chocolate covered please!

Obviously much is different for the Whiskers. Without knowing all that had happened before the day I heard Flower died, everything about the Whiskers changed immediately with that horrific news.

I had learned about the meerkat way of life and knew what to expect with the death of the dominant female...the battles, the challenges from within, the possible split, more Whiskers' deaths, our Whiskers males roving as they must to find mates, but the Whiskers, ah, my little Whiskers.

I will not root for them or against them. The Whiskers, no matter what the future holds, will always occupy a special place in my heart...the names we have come to know and love. I will watch the AP story with a heavy heart, but realize I am watching a great desert wildlife epic and the times must change as must the *stars*. But I will still wonder what has really happened to the Whiskers?

We still have seasons 4 & 5 ahead of us. There is still a great and grand story to be told.

In this case nothing can ever be quite the same again.

We will just have to see how AP takes its story.

Thanks Pronker I hope Mozy will be here for a much longer time. But what do you guyus think is happening with the whole dom.F for the whiskers? I mean Our Flower is gone so now 1 of her daughters is going to be dom.F I hope there isn't to much drama at the burrow.

That will be between Flower's daughters. Immediately following Season 2 most of us felt Mozart returned home, but now we read she has her own mob. This usually happens with a female meerkat eviction so maybe she got pregnant again and Flower kicked her out.

Or perhaps Flower died and Mozart assumed the dominant position, but was challenged by another of Flower's eligible daughters, say Kinkajou. As I type this I am remembering S3 episode 3 and cannot help but wonder if I am talking about the Whiskers or the Starskys. Could AP....? NO!!!!They wouldn't make the Whiskers the Starskys... would they? Maybe if there was a split?

We know Mozart has her own group, so that leaves Kinkajou...Whiskers/Starskys???

Mitch is where? Still with the Whiskers if split?

Can't put anything past AP! Too much to think about.

I think I will stop now and wait for the show.

I did answer your question by saying it will be easy to default to another mob because the Whiskers are no longer the mob we came to know and love.

It is Mozart's new mob that will thrill and keep the attention of long time fans. They want to see her survive and rise to the occasion as her mother Flower did back 2001 when two charming batchelors kats named Yossarian and Zaphod came from the Vivians and backed her as Queen of the Whiskers.

Now Mozart and her Lazuli lads will have a chance to write a new story in the desert.

Yes I know, Attila and Youssarian have both chased him off, but his Commandoes, as per AP, are now running the show and are in the area.

Of course Mozart always had a soft spot for *Carlos* Lazuli, which one, though, I don't know!

No I have not forgotten big mushy Grog but his family is busy running amok in the desert.

Also there is Sondheim Lazuli (aka Stinker) who just loves taking up a spot with a new Dom-F and there is JD who has all the experience with the Lazuli but no chance to breed so he seems a likely candidate as well, my nod goes to the Lazuli lads.
