Yep, I hope Rocket Dog will have some large, healthy litters this year and find a big, strong, healthy DM. She's working on it. You go, girl!

Looks like Zorilla of the Commandos will also need some large healthy litters this year. There were no pregnant females listed for the Commandos on the December LH Report.

Also, the 7 meerkats listed as absent at month-end on the December Report were also absent at month-end on the November Report. Although some of the 7 appear to have attempted to rejoin the Commandos in November, no such attempts were reported in December. If all 7 are reported as Last Seen or Emigrated at the end of January, then the Commandos will be down to 15 members.

The Commandos were fortunate to have 5 former Whisker males join their group in October. Three other Whisker males visited the Commandos in both November and December. Perhaps they will join the group and help offset the potential loss of 7 more Commandos.

Since the Commandos' territory borders the Whiskers, my comments could be interpreted as potential good news for the Whiskers. The possible loss of 7 additional Commandos and the absence of pregnant females could make them less of a threat to the Whiskers.

Good point, new manor fan. The fates of all of the mobs are interrelated, especially the ones physically close to each other. Consider all the movement between mobs, group splits, etc. in the past few months, plus the many evicted females and roving male coalitions "on the loose." The balance of power is shifting, and who knows what will happen next? Each LH report brings new surprises. IMO, life in the manor hasn't begun to settle down yet.

I look forward to reading your posts. Smile

Best Wishes to all!
