The uk have just seen heavy is the crown. Here are some spoilers. Poor rd pups are born above ground due to stress, poor mitch was nearly killied from the commandoes thats a bit sad to watch as he was pinned down and nearly chocked to death. The rain arrives after rd pups are born above ground. The whiskers are reunited but its hard to watch flower play and scentmark the group as its lovely to see her but also you know whats going to happen. More spoilers trowwer on joureys end.

My wish for tomorrow is that it is handled with dignity = no lectures on this is nature and all that trash = because Flower is soooooo important to all of us, even if she is not our favorite, she is very important, and this is a traumatic event.

I am assuming RD's pup died - almost impossible for them to live.

youssy -
I don't know what you mean by "trowwers", but Journey's End is the end of the Queen of the Kalahari.
Be prepared. I am thinking of you.

I take it Mitch survived the beating? If so I take it the whiskers won the fight? Or was mitch caught off guard while roaming?

Did they show or tell if RD's pups lived? Also, thank you for sharing the episodes with us. It sort of prepares us for what we will have to watch. I too hope that she is shown with dignity, but she is one of my favorites.

Also on the AP UK site there are a couple of videos from the producer's who talk about the Meerkats and some are really cool. One producer is lying on the ground and a meerkat is shoveling sand in his face. tee hee

Yo
I'm not from the UK but our source on Mels said the pups were born premature and did not survive.
The Whiskers were starving and RD was to inexperienced to lead them to a patch that would provide enough sustainance for RD's pups to be carried to full term.
?How can Mitch be with Flower's group if he was with Rocket Dog's group taking care of Len and Squiggy?
Another one of those continuity problems that seem to slip by. I wonder how many Mitches are in the Whiskers.
Sigh...
Thank you yousarrainfam for sharing the episode highlights. I for one am waiting anxiously for news of Journey's End.

Pronker- Good point, I was wondering as well when I read his post.

Don't know if trowwers is Flowers or tomorrows I think RD was trying to lead the mob to a new patch and didn't know, or have the experience to know, that she would be giving birth soon. If you go to the MM home page, there is a link called "videos from the EP" or something like that and RD's birth is documented there. Difficult to watch

Thanks Youssarianfan...we'll be thinking of you tomorrow. I was wondering if those pups were early since Flower's were not delivered yet. This is a new feat for Mitch..to be in two places at once...Pronker, if Len and Squiggy are not Whiskers, any idea on which group they belonged to?

Mitch was with Flower's group because they were reunited with RD's group and then took on the Commandos.

Just saw the episode, "Journey's End" where Flower dies. Have to say I was extremely disappointed for several reasons. First of all, the researchers did ten years of research. These shows are no longer research. They knew Flower would die if help was not given to her immediately. Since she was the main character, they should have protected her. This is a show, not research anymore.
Second, I expected a special tribute, they only did a couple of minutes. Very disappointing episode.
I hope they have a heart where they will remember that what they did by allowing Flower to die will come back to haunt them. Flower and the meerkats trusted the individuals recording them and this is how they repaid them?
If they don't regret what they did, one day these individuals will remember what they did was wrong to have allowed the main character of a very successful show to die. Other production companies will not hire them if they are aware of what the producers and director decided to do. Yes, the venom was extremely strong, but there were there and could have done something.

crittkat, without getting into this whole intervention thing on this thread here's my question. Did they show Flower suffering and was she alone or with her family after she got bit. I cannot sleep at night just wondering. Please let me know.

When do you get to see the episode?

I apologize for not answering your question and didn't know how to answer it because I get the feeling you're a sensitive person. They show her after she was bitten for a short period.

Thanks for your concern, I am an emotional person, but strong. I ask because I want to know. It will help me prepare for Journey's End. It seems we are a few weeks behind you. This Friday, Sept. 21,we see "Heavy is the Crown". I already know what happens because I watched to all video clips on the MM website...poor Rocket Dog. We don't see Journey's End until Sept 28th. But did Flower end up alone or was her family with her? Did she go off on her own to die or was her family by her side?

Was the group mobbing the snake or did the snake surprise attack Flower?

This is so sad to read about. I am glad we are being prepared as it will be a very tough episode to watch. Thank you UK. I read that in 2 weeks the show will be called Farwell My Lovely. Do you think there will be some sort of tribute about her? Maybe from Zaphod? The researchers can put anything in they want. I hope that will be the case.

Okay, the snake enters where the babysitters and pups are, Flower goes in to protect them, then they show her doubling over, her face looked swelled up, and then they show her laying down. That's why I'm so angry. She didn't disappeared like Shakespeare, they were there filming her as she was slipping away. Looked like she was close to the burrow, but didn't show any of the others around.
She does an incredible thing before she meets up with the snake. That part is about the only good thing I have seen this season.
I really don't like watching this season at all, only reason I have been watching is because I wondered what happened to some of the other meerkats.

So, if she didn't remain in the burorow where she got bit, it means she must of at some point had the strength to drag her little body out of the burrow. That means she was alone. And they don't show the rest of the family near her at any point or wondering where she is the next day?
