Oh dear me, I am so sad to learn of Kingajou’s passing and that De La Sol is missing. I can only hope that Mozart will be safe somewhere with a worthy male. My heart breaks for all of them. I worry for their survival, and still hoping against all odds that Shakespeare is doing well somewhere. I cannot bring myself to believe that he is gone. I feel the same for Mozart. Despite the drought of 2006, I was hoping that the Starsky would fare better. The short film, “A Meerkat Saga”, foretold of the difficult summer the meerkats faced. It was so touching that Little Boy was accepted into Scar Face’s mob, it brought tears to my eyes. By the way, could it be fearsome Hannibal that is Scar Face?
I will need to steele my heart for the upcoming episodes. Yes, this week will be very sad. However, thank you all for the spoiler info. I think I’ll start up my Karaoke, and sing while dinner is cooking, even if I sound awful. I need a “pep me upper”.
Oh how I envy you who are able to go to the Kalahari Project. I am anxious to know if the Kalahari will have a better summer this year.
Bless you all for caring. I am grateful that so many of you share my feelings and understand the pain and agony of Mother Nature.
Kinkajou dies too? Really, this is getting to be too much. At this rate, the only Season 1 & 2 Whiskers that will still be alive are Daisy, Mitch, Zaphod and Mozart (outlook not good if she's a lone female again). So many deaths...
I AM TRY TO GET THIS TO GO TO THE NEXT PAGE SO THAT FOR THOSE THAT DON'T WANT TO HEAR BAD NEWS, WON'T HAVE TO SEE THIS. I know some of us come here hoping to hear that perhaps good news has shined on those we love, but this was unexpected and am telling you, it is not good.
For those that want to prepare yourselves for BAD NEWS, the next post will tell you. For those that don't want to hear it, PLEASE be WARNED!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Wilson is the main character in this episode. Zaphod realizes that living alone is very difficult with his age with a bad scrape and gravity working against him. He also realizes there are predators. Realizing has learned that the Kalahari is no place for a lone meerkat. He makes his way back to the Whiskers.
Meanwhile Wilson realizes it may be time for him to venture on his own. Having his father, Hannibal in charge of the Commandos, he realizes there isn't room for two males and goes out in search of a female.
He ends up at the Whiskers burrow and with Zaphod not there, he scans the Whiskers and captures the attention of Rocket Dog.
With Zaphod gone and Rocket Dog not having a dominant male or mated is enticed by Wilson's attempts. Wilson sents out his signals (for this being his first time, he is like a pro). Rocket Dog accepts his signals and runs to him.
When will these posts move to the next page. Trying to avoid the BAD NEWS on this page.
Oh well, here we go.
Zaphod finds his way back to the Whiskers' burrow. Immediately everyone is accepting him. He goes around and places his scent everywhere he can, just to be certain there are no doubts he once was a member of this group.
Wilson and Rocket Dog notice Zaphod. Wilson being no dummy realizes there is no place for him in this group with Zaphod around. Rocket Dog and Wilson decide this is like, 'Romeo and Juliet" and don't want to have the same type of ending as those lovers (my interpretation).
Mozart is seen alone and also realizes the Kalahari is no place for a lone female. Although she has had experience, does not want to face it alone again.
She goes off and ventures. Meanwhile, Wilson is roving for mate and a place of his own and spots Mozart.
Mozart accepts his advances and get together. At last, she found someone to keep her warm at nights. Did Mozart finally find her true love?
It is evening and Wilson decides to stay with Mozart and spend the night with her. A storm comes during the night, along with that comes lighting. Lighting stikes in the proximity of the area where Mozart and Wilson are spending the night. The lighting starts a fire, not a small one, but a big one. Mozart and Wilson have never smelled anything like this before.
The next morning you are wondering if they made it through the night or did the smoke take them?
Out comes Wilson and Mozart following his lead. They realize the Kalahari has proven to be very difficult for just two meerkats.
Wilson heads towards the Commandos territory with Mozart following his steps. Now that Wilson has placed his smell on Mozart, Mozart is in the hopes of being accepted by the Commandos.
Mozart and Wilson are now at the Commandos burrow deciding how to approach the situation.
Hannibal sounds the alert and Commandos prepare for war. Meanwhile Mozart and Wilson look on, while they realize that the Commandos are preparing for war there is another group also preparing for war, The Whiskers.
Just like the apple that falls from the tree, Wilson knows where his tree is and runs to the aid of his father. A confrontation is met by the Whiskers and Commandos.
Meanwhile, Mozart looks on. Having been evicted by the Whiskers and not being a part of the Commandos she runs from the situation.
The Commandos have gone underground to sleep, but Wilson stands outside in the hopes of seeing his first true love (my interpretation again). At the same time, Mozart is alone again and for once realizes she may have found her true life partner.
Mozart is seen standing in the moonlight and so is Mozart.
Before the sunrises Wilson heads out in search of his first true love, Mozart. It is getting to be a beautiful sunrise, but with that the day does not promise to be a very pretty day.
Wilson searches on the sands and sees the shadow of a familiar body, it's Mozart.
Only thing is Mozart is not standing.
With great sadness, again I'm sorry to say a great lady is no longer with us.
This time the Kalahari once again has proven to be fatal to our beloved meerkats.
When I heard about Flowers death earlier in June, I was shocked and angry. By having known earlier on, it still hurt to know the fate of a great lady, but it was not as shocking as it was about Mozart.
I am so very saddened by this news. I had hoped so much for dear Mozart. I would like to hold her in my arms. Poor Mozart, she did not deserved to die alone. Forgive me, I was trying to hold on to some good news about her.
Thank you crittcat. I am going to hug my Samson, Bambi, Beau, Trixie, and especially Leilani.
I am in the UK & my words at the end of yesterdays episode was 'please, please let mozart be ok...if anything happened to her i would be devastated'
I saw your post this morning Crittkat, and read in hoping and praying that all would be ok.
Then i saw your words...and I am sat here at work and just burst into tears! - so, so, so upset...I cried buckets when flower died last week and I really dont think i will be able to watch it tonight - thanks for letting us know Crittkat so i can carefully consider if i can bear to watch.
RIP Mozart - the most beautiful meerkat on the manor
Ohhh Crittkat...thank you...my heart is breaking...she has always been my favorite...but thank you for giving us this information and so quickly. Sweetest.. dearest.. heart...I hope that she is at peace and although I am completely humanizing her, I hope that Flower is holding her close as are Shakespeare, Tosca, Carlos, and all her pups...RIP Sweetest Princess of the Kalahari.
Why will I continue with Meerkat Manor? My Whiskers are gone. Flower, Tosca, Shakespeare, Kinkajou, where oh where is Uncle Youssy? Carlos is gone. Zaphod will leave. Not to mention all of the dead in the other mobs. And now you tell me our sweet Mozart is dead.
Overcome with grief for these precious ones I can not become attached or care about the new meerkats. Season 3 may just be it for me as far as Meerkat Manor the show is concerned.
Holy bleeping bleep!!!!!!!!!! NOT the news I wanted to read right after waking up this morning.
Oh...God...I don't know quite what to say.
Mozart was my favorite, aside from Grumpy and Fluffernutter. I will still keep watching the show, though...there will always be tragedies, yet there will always be new kats we will fall in love with.
