MM probably said Flower adopted Axel to portray her caring and loving side in one last heroic act before the dreaded snake bite. Axel was born in the Youngones group, not the Zappa as MM said. The Youngones played the Zappa in many scenes so it was just what fitted the script (as Youngones itself was never mentioned) Similarly, it was Machu-Picchu who 'saved' Axel and not Mitch as MM suggests.
Ahh the Young Ones. It seems like MM producers changed group/individual names a lot in the show. But perhaps they just had to do that for the sake of the show?
Whilst many disagree, I think MM would be way too complicated to feature Whiskers and all it's neighbouring groups or and have every single Roving male introduced as himself.. It's great to read abut but just too much for TV.
