Yo Volley
Flower doesn't share her food with just anybody.
I think she was telling you that she was proud of you.

Our Flower is watching. So is Blossom, Bubble, Ozzie, Izit and all the babies we did not know. It is said the spirit world is very close to those most in harmony with those who are now a part of it.
Each of us must have a meerkat spirit crowd following us around, but OMG, Volley you are so very special that Flower made her presence known to you.
Thank you for sharing. Sometimes I sense the presence or think I see shadows of kitties of mine, after they have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, not just once either, but mostly when I am upset or feeling a little blue. You do not know how many times I have turned my head and called a kitty's name. I am a believer... .

It's funny. we have lived here only a couple of years and our plants and flowers were doing ok but not anything to call the media about. But this year everything is blooming including the wisteria and the climbing roses have gone crazy and I never made a connection until this thread opened up. Flower, you live all over my DM'sparadise he has made for us. Our backyard is Eden to us and now we have dogs, cats, Barbaro and lost in the fog grazing now we have meerkats!!!

welcome to the burrow, dogstyclint. go introduce yourself, and tell how long you've been a MM fan. tornado, my sister, how wonderful about your plants. also please notice that this morning, I did NOT say "good morning MY pup" like a certain quirky sister would (she said self-righteously).

My DM and his family are "yard people". My family just cut the lawn. He has shown me a great deal and Since I always wanted lilacs and wisteria like "Nancy Drew" is always talking about he swore our first real home he would plant me some. What a DM!!!! and this year they are taking off!!!

I am having an excellent season of Flower Blooms myself! No small feat here in the Mojave desert! I even had some bulbs blooming that haven't for a couple of years and a California poppy too!

Funny, my Flowers are in full bloom also. Normally my front yard looks like the Mojave Desert. Neighbors and passerbys are actully stopping to look and we are behind in the rain fall....this gets curiouser and curiouser.
I think ccatz may be right.... hmmmmmmmmmmm!

These are very powerful messages to us from the other side. What better way for FLOWER and BLOSSOM to let us know that they are watching over us and APPROVE of what we are doing, like helping the SI kats, than making gardens grow better than they ever have before. Same thing here at our burrow with the jade and the roses! This is AWESOME and awe inspiring! MEERKATS RULE!!!

If you plant marigolds and/or sunflowers near your roses and iris, it will help keep the aphids away. That's what i do with my catnip.

Our "eden" looked quiet good until all this rain. It has pelted down for days really hard and my DM's garden has been almost pulverized especially these last three days.

balletcat, do you plant marigolds near the catnip, or catnip near the roses?

ok its either flower proud of you or she just made a crank call

I plant marigolds next to the catnip. The aphids like catnip but somehow prefer marigolds. And also, marigolds attract praying mantis which eat aphids. Lady bugs (and, especially, lady bug larvae) eat aphids too. For roses, i would plant marigolds at the base of each rose bush.
