Isn't it possible in the heat of the battle shakespeare and Big Cy came out of the burrow and got lost in the mob? Then both were probably so badly injured from the fight over the pups that they dragged their poor injured selves out of the way of the family and were either picked up by a bird of prey or were devourered by one of the scavengers? This would explain no bodies of the meerkats. The same probably happened to Tosca unfortunately.

Shakespeare is my favorite, but Mitch is a close second because of his relationship with Shakespeare. I can see Mitch leaving and starting a family with one of the Commandos or Lazuli.

I think that Mozart will survive long enough to overtake Flower some day. She seems more dedicated to the family than Tosca did. I loved Tosca's spirit though.

Oh, Mitchlover, a good theory, but one I don't want to think about. Hope Shakes is recuperating somewhere in a researcher's lab after that fight with plenty of food, a tv for him to watch and the meerkat equivilent of a hot-tub whatever that would be. He is a hero, have pity on him. That would be a great scenerio.

I had a DREAM the other night that our zoo ended up with Shakespeare as the dominate male of the new exhibit that we are adding over the next two years. It was publicized as the family that was fathered by the fans' favorite meerkat. How insane is that?

Big Si became ill after the supposed fight at the Whiskers burrow. The researchers found out he had TB which is very contageous and could have wiped out the whole Lazuli mob, so they euthanized him to save the rest of the mob.

There is no one definitive answer on Shakespeare. He was never seen again on the farm. No body was found.

I believe a lot. I would love to find another site that has information about the Meerkats on it so I can track them myself. I would love to know the whole story behind the death of Big Cy and get to know some of the other meerkats better. Rumor has it that our zoo's big project is bringing meerkats to us; I can't wait!

I REFUSE to give up hope on those two brave meerkats. There is a big chance Tosca is alive and well and leader of her own group as dominate female and Carlos is the dominate male. After all, Carlos loves to mate, and they were seen at the end of season 1. Then Carlos strangely stopped roving, even though he loves roving.

Shakespeare was seen babysitting the day BEFORE the attack, not the day OF the attack. He might have joined another mob. He might be Hannibal. Or he might have found a mate and become leader of a new group, maybe he's leader of the Moomins or the Gattica.

Shakespeare and Big Si did not have a fight.
Shakespeare wasn't the meerkat they showed in the burrow. Shakespeare was babysitting the day before the Lazuli came calling. Big Si was put to sleep because he had TB.

In my mind's eye I can see Shakespeare as the head of his own group with a beautiful dominant female who is pregnant with what should be their third litter of pups. When Blossom was snatched up by that Hawk, she was dropped the same way that Youssarian was and was rescued from the brush by her big brother who left to lick his wounds, but found his beautiful Juliet. It is this couple who is raising our little Blossom. Now wouldn't that be the perfect scenario; especially if their rival group was headed by Tosca and Carlos?

Someone I know thinks that the producer note thing could just be a fib. I've taped meerkat manor before so I am checking the end credits to see if there really is a Tom Flower.

Never mind. I checked the note and Tom Flower isn't a producer, he's the manager. So I don't think.... I'm checking the end credits again though to see if there is a manager they are mentioning. Arrghh! SHAKESPEARE COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom Flower is just one of the project managers. Alex Thorton is another one. I found Thorton's name on the Cambridge University email address site. I didn't see Tom Flower's name.

(Did he start a mob?)

Some people think that Shakespeare went off to start his own mob. I don’t think this it true because he would at least come back to the whiskers burrow after he failed in finding some females like yousarrian, big will, Mitch, Carlos and grog. Shakespeare may be a strong meerkat but it is very hard to find a female without being chased away or ignored by the female.

Also people think that Shakespeare might be Hannibal. This is defiantly not true! Hannibal is a LOT bigger than Shakespeare and his mob is too big. It’s only been a few months and meerkats have three litters a year. So its way to big. Also his hair die marks would still be noticed. Maybe faded but noticeable so the producers would tell us if he is Shakespeare

(Did Shakespeare run from the lazuli?)

People also think that Shakespeare ran from the lazuli wile he was in the burrow and escaped out of another burrow entrance. But the pups were in the same burrow as Shakespeare and big CY. So if Shakespeare left, big CY would have gotten to the pups and then later on Shakespeare would return to the group.

Also right after the fight it shows the 4 under ground cameras as flower enters the burrow and the camera in the top right was fuzzy and damaged. That was most likely the tunnel Shakespeare and big CY fought in. also if the producers had taken the camera out to fix it, it would be hard to find the same tunnel.

Also after the fight when flower found her pups they left that burrow. There are 2 main reasons why she did this. #1 the lazuli attacked it and #2 Shakespeare’s dead body was in it  if there was a dead body in the burrow then she would leave for reasons to emotionally hard to explain 

(Was it really Shakespeare?)

People wonder if it was really Shakespeare because the meerkat shown had different shaped spots. Well the producers tell the meerkats apart by dieing there fur with black hair die so every 3-4 months they renew them. Also people say that the meerkat with the pups in the burrow didn’t have the markings on his side like the one above ground did. Well on the TV show the flip the pic's so when its there right side too think it’s the left.
You can prove this thanks to yousarrian have you ever noticed that yousarrian has a big scar above his right eye instead of his left? Well that’s because they flipped the pic
Also the producers would tell use the truth

Also people say that it can’t be him because he babysat the day befor! Well look at Mozart and youssarian! They babysat 2 days in a row and Mozart, I bet, has even don 3 days in a row. The thing is, is that babysitters can fined food near the burrow, not very much but enough to last him. More then half the meerkats killed are on babysitting duty and Shakespeare was at the burrow that day (AND DON’T BLAM FLOWER) flower didn’t know that the lazuli would attack that day

(What about the meerkat in the mob with the same markings? Are there 2 Shakespeare’s?)

People say they have seen a meerkat among the mob with the same markings as Shakespeare. Well now that Shakespeare is gone they can use his markings on another meerkat since he is no longer around. (Hope this makes sense) its would be easier to take the hair die markings from another meerkat that is gone and put them on a new meerkat instead of thinking about different markings the no other meerkat around has.

Take a look at the middle paragraph under “(did Shakespeare run from the lazuli?)”
When the producers (if they did) took out the camera to fix it Shakespeare might still have been alive but badly injured. Noing Shakespeare he would have made an effort to get back to the group. And like the producers said he was probably picked off by a bird of prey. 
I’m sorry to say that its nature. Every body is on the food chain, some higher than others but it’s just that way.  There are also other things to emotionally hard to explain



i cryed my heart out typing this..... but life is like this. meerkat manor is not some fariy tale were evrything will be ok in the end. i donet want to beleave shakspeare died. i never really did. i just don't know what to think anymore.........
