Friends of the Kalahari Meerkat Project, Lapland Studios and Inaria Interactive proudly announce “Lead the Meerkats™”, coming out on Nintendo Wii later this fall!
We've been waiting for this for ages: a meerkat game that is fun to play, lovely to look at, and realistic in what it is about: meerkats! Become the courageous little meerkat yourself, find a mate, forage, guard and fight to grow your group and defend it against Kalahari predators and rival gangs - just as the KMP dominants do in real life!
What Is it all about? In Lead the Meerkats™ you are a young meerkat and you have a lot to accomplish. You have been separated from your group and the time has come for you to form your own meerkat family.
Name your group and meerkats. Dig burrow networks and enlarge your territory. Forage for food and grow your group size. Stay on guard and be ready to make quick decisions. Run to the safety of the burrows or fight your enemies. Go head to head with a rival meerkat pack. Lead your group to victory and rule the savanna. Are you ready for the challenge?
Lead the Meerkats™ is an exciting real-time strategy game, and certainly the first to simulate the life of meerkats. By taking advantage of the unique and intuitive control system of Nintendo Wii, players are trust into the lively and endearing world of these quirky meerkat creatures, and all their trials and tribulations. The game offers fun and extremely engaging gameplay experiences for Wii players of all ages.
Zaphod I know what you mean! I only have a playstation 3 owner well I have gamecube and Play Station 2 but neither are really in production anymore. It looks like a pretty good game though.
I posted a Youtube Video about this a few months ago, I'm sooo excited!
I hope they release it on Nintendo DS as well, by the time it comes out the Wii's will be cheaper, a new console will probably be out by then. They'll be much more affordable! However, I don't want the game to be released on multiple platforms, otherwise I'll end up buying all of them! Two consoles is enough for me!
I visited their Website and discovered they adopted a meerkat, they want some name suggestions and are apparently offering some prizes. Could be cool...
yay i have a Wii, got it a cupple of months ago and i only used it for about 10 minutes before packing it away again. If i get the game ill be using it alot more.
