I'm just wondering if anyone else is planning to skip this week's episode? I just don't know if I can watch it. Flower has been my favorite from the very beginning and I guess I just don't trust MM to do right by her. They've been so graphic lately. I don't think I can stand to watch her die. Does anyone else feel this way too?

Hi snoopymomm. The mod may move this topic to the spoiler thread but I'll write this here anyway. I understand your hesitation about watching this Friday's episode. Just like you, Flower has been my favorite meerkat from episode 1 of Season 1. She is the most special, beautiful meerkat ever and losing her is completely devastating. I think one reason to watch the last episode is to be with Flower until the end. I know we are not actually there and what we see is often modified from what is really happening but Friday's episode is as close to being there as we can get.

We met Flower in Episode 1, we got to know her through the lenses of AP's cameras. We fell in love with her, we were scared for her when things were going wrong, we cheered for her when things were going right (I'll never forget when she caught that bird) and we were in awe of her excellent leadership skills and intelligence. I think now it is time to cry for her and say goodbye to her but certainly never to forget her.

I haven't seen the episode yet and if you want to be more prepared you can go to the Spoiler thread and read the descriptions from those in other countries who saw the episode already. Apparently it was done respectfully but that's all I know.

Please know that if you do choose to watch the episode, there will be plenty of people here to support you in your grief. I can't guarantee I will be able to type anything that night and am more likely to be found curled up in a ball in my bed crying my eyes out. But I will try to be as strong as I can to to help my fellow mob members get through this. Somehow we will - but there will forever be a deep scar in our hearts. May a meerkat who touched us so deeply and gave us so much never be forgotten by us.

Hi queenflower! Yep, you're right it got moved. Fortunately for me, I tried posting it again in another forum, thinking I was in the wrong place, so someone there was kind enough to let me know that the post had been moved to spoiler content. I thought it was generic enough, guess not! Anyway, I'm with you, I will probably not be able to stay away although I would really like to. I just read about upcoming episodes. I must say this has been a rough season for the meerkats. I hope next season is a little easier all around.

Hi everyone, as difficult as this episode might be to watch, how could you not take the time to see our last bit of video on our beloved Flower. It's going to be tough but I would not miss it for even a moment. That dear little merekat has been such a great leader for her mob. It will really be a night to celebrate her life.

I like others do not want to see anything happen to our Queen but will not miss the opportunity to see her again.

I wouldn't be anywhere else this Friday evening but with my Flower. Gosh the tears are coming as I type!

Somehow our spirits will be with her. I know it and you know what? She will know too.

I will watch journeys end, I'm not sure I will watch the rest of the series, or buy any books, or even go see the movie.

I will watch, I HAVE to watch. I need to see her beautiful face one last time. I need to give her the respect she deserves. She was a true leader, strong, determined, caring. Her last unselfish act to protect her family will be admired through tear filled eyes. I, like Queenflower, will be curled in a ball with a couple boxes of tissues. Flower is the reason her family has been so successful. Her strength & wisdom was unparalleled. I will love her always & remember our Iron Lady forever. Although not good for my health or sanity I HAVE to watch. After 2 seasons I think I owe Flower that much. I'm just glad it's on a Friday so I can recover a little before going back to work on Monday. I'm crying already just thinking about this....

Im from the UK and the lsat episode of MM is tomorrow.
Flowers death was the biggest shock as i didnt know that this was giong to happen. I cried for a full day and had to leave work early as it affected me that bad. The episode when it happened was a nice episode as she saved little Axel, it shows her strength and kindness and I think that you should watch it, even though its going to make you cry and it will hurt if your a Flower & MM fan but you need to be with her when it happens, show her your support and be their for her family. You dont see her suffer, well my eyes were filled with tears when it heppened so I didnt see that much. Im crying as i write this but im just a very emotional person anyway.
Series 3 has been one of the most upsetting series that I have seen. I hope that the last 2 episodes are going to be happy ones.

Thank you magicalmozart, you chose just the right words without telling us all. It will just be so difficult to say goodbye, but I will be there to lay my head on hers and hopefully comfort both of us.

I will watch the show this Friday, by myself and most likely crying my eyes out. But since the first "Meet Flower" to our goodbye for this icon of the Kalahari I shall be there.

Though I know that this has already happened it will be as fresh as the day I first found out. I am glad to know that once my eyes dry out enough I will be able to come online and share my grief with everyone else.

I cannot express my deepest regards for a leader and animal that I was privileged to share my world with.

Haveing seen the episode myself i would say watch it for the reasons posted by magicalmozart but i found it upsetting to watch after the bite because of what it does to her face but it is quickly shown and i hope it all happend as quick as the filming shows the worst part is feeling helpless to do anything about it but just remember that she was the best she could have been and devoted to her family and got them where they are today.

i for one am sticking by flower's side til the very end. she didn't give up on the ones she loved when times got bad and i'm not going to let her down. i will lean on her for strength for saturday's tribute to her at the zoo. i know she will be there in spirit. FLOWER ALWAYS RULES!

I would never leave Flower.I will watch it by myself....well not quite....the cats will be with me, but the D-M, boys and dogs will be elsewhere. This is between Flower, me and our hearts and spirits.

I too will stay with Flower to the end. Such a wonderful, special animal.....Will look her up when it's my time to go to the great foraging patch in the sky.

I'll watch the episode snoopymomm, but i am defintely not gonna watch the part she dies in! BTW, I highly recommend that none of you folks watch the part she gets bitten in! I also highly recommend we have 1 minute of silence, no tv, just silence to honor the ''Queen of the Kalahari''. Who is the ''King of the Kalahari''?

Ive seen that episode and just like to say they do not show her get bitten, but still its really sad.
My family and I went quite for a minute.

My heart is heavy, heavy, heavy... it has been heavy ever since I learned about Flower dying on my BIRTHDAY of ALL DAYS, Feb 22nd!!!! The shock was too great to bear and then the anger... I felt that she was murdered... not just by the snake but by neglect as well- that's the part that I cannot accept, I mean I accept that it has happened but I don't condone it. I didn't know exactly how I could obtain any closure, for me, it's almost like when someone you love commits suicide, could you have prevented it? Could SOMEONE have prevented it?

In this case, YES. Flower didn't have to die...not now, not like this so I am deeply hurt but more than that angry. I feel a need to do something instead of watching her demise. I feel that spirit that says I must try to do something to preserve and protect them...work with others that are doing the same, so that she and all like her didn't die for nothing.

In reality, Flower didn't die for nothing- she was protecting her own, courageously as she always has and would have probably always done; she amongst all the Meerkats would have wanted to go down fighting and I respect that.

I feel that Flower would want me to act, to fight in my own way and I have decided to- I want to work with others who want Meerkat protection and preservation.
