So it looks like just before the season premiere on June 6th at 8:30, they're going to show "The Graduate." I wonder why they picked that one? I'm guessing it's supposed to tie into the story of the premiere somehow.
What is the "Graduate"? Is it one of the episodes from season 3? Now, I know the original Wilson has passed on, but has the Wilson that almost mated with Mozart in season 3 passed as well?
"The Graduate" is episode 12 (I believe) from season 3. Wilson was introduced as a new rover. Wilson's character is going to be portrayed by another kat in season 4. I think all the previous "Wilsons" passed away, so it has to be another one.
lol, "all the previous 'wilsons' passed away"! if this is true (wilson will be a main character), and it sounds right if i do say so myself, the show is going to get more and more fictional this season. i hope not though. why not tell us about the aztecs, boabab, toyota and even the whiskers roving group joining the commandos? it seems to me like the meerkats have written a great story over the last year, why make one up?
Excellent question, NDodo. I, for one, would love to hear their answer. Now that they have created the "Romeo" Wilson character, they don't want to give him up. Ratings, you know. Judging from posts on these forums, I'm afraid they have a point. For many fans, Wilson was a very popular romantic hero.
The continual slide away from reality is a shame, as MM storylines in earlier seasons stuck much closer to the truth (in spite of the name changes.) Many of you will remember the letter in fall 2006 from Tom Flower (true name, not fictional!), the previous Project Manager at KMP, defending the "factually accurate story lines" of MM. Great thread, thanks zerocharismo! Yes, it seems that the kats do a fine job of writing their own story. I did like Wilson, and if they want to continue a Wilson character, he was so touching at the end of S3, I don't mind, but as others have said, the kats have so much more going for them and I hope the show does not take on an animal soap opera format. No offense to soaps, these kats don't need scripts.

Yes, I am afraid that the show is going to become "writing scripts and filming to fit". It will be the downfall of the show. People tune in to see "near reality" on the Kalahari and I smell a soap opera coming. I think it's time to call in zaphodstheman for his take on all of this...I could use a little comic releif.

Maybelline's control over the Aztecs is dwindling and her futile attempts at leadership have made a lot of her subordinates quit. Rocket Dog isn't fairing much better. With a bigger group of meerkats under her command, her dominance is rocky.
