I know there are quite a few Whiskers members left including some that are dominant in other Groups (Attila, Fin, and Flo) but now that Rocket Dog is gone (absolutely senseless death)there are really only "our man" Zaphod and the beautiful Monkulus left that we know.

I hope nothing happens to either of them because they are my connection to the show period!!!!.

If Meerkat Manor doesn't showcase some of the other Kats this season there may well be no Kats left that us "old timers" can associate with and I for one need that connection.

If you haven't seen it on the front page of animalplanet.com, they are having an online questionere this Friday about the show and the whiskers narrated by Clutton. I hope they talk about some of the new members of the Whiskers along with other groups.

Ella is the current dom-F, Mango was her stage name in earlier seasons. Wiley Kat is Shelley, Amira is a pup now grown that I don't think we saw last season and then there is Rocket Dog's daughter, Beaker, who is about six months old so pretty much self sufficient. Males hm, Columbus (Machu Pichu), Nugget who is Rocket's boy and Busta, who rovers regularly.

There are other Whiskers around though in their new families: Aztecs, Baobabs, Toyota, Van Helsing and a number of males, like Ningaloo (Dudley/Clive), Miles (Achilles), Baker (Atilla) who are off vying for spots in other families.

There may be more males out there roving or with wild families.

So the legacy of Holly, Flower, Tosca, and Mozart continues to reign in the Kalahari.

Thanks for the update. I do recall a few of the Whiskers from the first 3 seasons (Dudley, Miles, Baker) but they were only causally mentioned. I don't remember anything about Wiley Kat, Amira and of course Beaker and Nugget are too young to know. We have really never got to know Machu Pichu eventhough he has been the Whiskers dominant male for a year now.

My hope is that we will get to know more than just a few Kats in the comming episodes. When we know only a handful of Kats a death really hits us hard. I know that the story lines follow certain characters but for the show to succeed with many Kats passing we need to meet a lot more of them.

Being over her in the U.S. and only seeing a few on Television really doesn't give us an idea of the awesome Kats that are not shown on T.V. and when our favorites die we think there is no reason to watch.

One quick question. Is Zaphod being monitored? I'm sure his whereabouts is the first question asked every morning.

I agree with u Wizzy 100%. I really wish that we could get to know all the groups. There are so many mks in other groups that we would love just as much. I have always wanted to see an episode on all the groups. They did that last year and covered one or two groups and I really liked that. I would really really love it thought if all our Whiskers could be together again in one group no matter how impossible that sounds.

I hope the new episodes do just that. It seems a shame that we never had a chance to meet such great Kats as Rhian,Cazanna, Kleintjie and the "mother" of almost all of the Moomins Grumpy (We still have a chance to meet her).

Rhian was shown on MM as "Nikita", Cazanna was shown in the first and second seasons before she died as herself, and since the Kung Fu is the closest group to the Whiskers, we might see Kleintjie, who is the DF of KF in the future. Zaphod is being monitored. He was wearing a collar in the winter when there was no filming of MM, instead of Flower (Whiskers era), and he is wearing one now, as well.

Rhian was "Nikita Commando" on MM.
