My boys are almost 2 yr. and they are very interested in the potty seats but when i take um out to let them do it they go right next to it on the carpet and then ask for a wipe to clean it up. Maybe there not ready any advice ?

it is good that they show an interest. I would just give it some time some boys are not ready for training until there are 3 or so. Let them take the lead.
