In Ogden Utah on 29th street there is a dog food plant, makes Ogden an aromic city to be in! You could hang out in Weber Dispatch and dispatch EMS to calls. Or hang out with the Police there and respond to very interesting calls. Or hang out with the Fire Department. There is also the small town of Willard, where you could hook up with Bob, he is in the maintainence department there.

I work for a paint manufacturing company in Woods Cross, Utah. The company is called, Valley Paint Manufacturing. As a huge fan of your show and a father of even bigger fan, I would love to see you do a show about making paint at my place of employment.
Thank You for any consideration, MIKE HARRELSON

Located in central Utah, Payson City hosts a salmon bake, usually the first Saturday in August to raise funds for the town fire dept. This salmon bake has been going on for over fifty years now and brings in people from all over the state and some from out of state. There is also entertainment as part of the festivities. Being a cook at this salmon bake is a hot, dirty job. And I'm sure they would welcome the help. Hey, maybe Mike could cook and sing a song!

A few years a go I worked as an assistant supervisor at the Moroni Turkey Plant in Moroni, Utah. Specifically I worked in what is called the "Mink Room" where the turkey parts that are not fit for human consumption are taken. The various parts of the turkey run along a conveyor belt where the guts and intestines and garbage are removed. Then the rest of the turkey stuff is ground into mince meat, "cleaned," cooled, and loaded into semi-truck tanks. It's a dirty job that stinks like nothing else, and on top of that there are several other stations around the plant that are equally dirty. This is ideal for you Mike! Come have a look.

OH THE SMELL OF HOME

If there was ever a dirty job it is in Sanpete County Utah. One of the biggest turkey providers in the nation. Norbest turkey plant where you can do anything from cleaning up hot sweaty turkey poop out of hot humid pens to preparing holiday turkeys for thanksgiving in the turkey plant. Artificial ensemination, the whole nine yards. Not to mention the turkeys get real mean. I am from the area and can help with any details you need. You can look up Norbest turkey or I can give you the info you need later on.

The Utah Test and Training Range is home to over 2 million acres of airspace (roughly the size of New Hampshire) in the state's west desert .

Servicemembers assemble targets and clear exploded and unexploded ordnance during test missions from across the Department of Defense.

A dirty job like no other!

Mike,

I'm a deputy sheriff here in Carbon County Utah. As dirty jobs go I’ve got a couple of tasks in my job descriptions, which are incredibly dirty. Unfortunately the jobs on my list are definitely not jobs you would be able to air on your show. Either way if you ever find yourself in Utah it would be a tremendous honor to meet you. I watch your show all the time and have to say you are one of the funniest coolest guys I have EVER seen on TV.

I know this may sound a bit off but Utah is known for incredibly large familes and with that comes a high number of births. According to the Utah Population Estimates, net Migration, Birth and Deaths data (Utah gov site http://governor.utah.gov/dea/UPEC/06StatePop.pdf) There were 52,368 births in 2006 alone!!! NOW that's a lot of clean up. Given the popularity of sugery shows I don't think it would gross out the viewership.
thanks for reading

I work on the pit crew of a road racing team. We have a race in September at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. From last year, I remember a lot of blowing dust and sand, combined with blown motors, transmissions, and lots of other oily and greasy stuff. We aren't a big budget team so I think we get a little more dirty than the nascar guys. The racing series is called the Koni Challenge (part of Grand American Racing) and we race all over the country.

Copper mine, brine shrip...blah, blah, blah...

I live in a little berg by the name of Morgan. It is about 20 miles East of Ogden. I was driving about town and I saw a truck and immediately said to myself "That is gross! It needs to be on TV!!!" It was a mobile game butcher. I did not see said butchers at work, but what I did see was a truck. A truck with four trashcans attached to it. Trash cans that were full of pelts, bones, and guts. I pray it does not roll over.

See you in Morgan Mike, Barsky(i, ie, ey, ee), and crew and lets meet at Taggerts for a beer and the best dang artichkoe dip in the world.

I've got the ultimate Dirty Job - Mink Breeding!!!

During my teen years in Utah, I worked at a Mink Breeding Farm. My job was to reach into a male mink's cage, grab the razor-toothed male by the tail (wherein he would then proceed to embed those razor-sharp teeth into the VERY thick leather glove that I wore!), then place him in the female mink's cage next in line. I had to do this for what seemed like thousands of pairs of breeding pairs (but was probably closer to hundreds actually). Then, starting all over in the line of cages, when the female was huddled into a ball in the corner (indicating that a sexual encounter had actually taken place), I had to reach into the female cage and grab the male mink and replace him into his own cage once more. Sounds pretty simple, right? HAH, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Mike try to do this dirty job! Could be the funniest epsiode ever! Here are some breeders in Utah:

Last week I found myself up to my armpits in swampy mud, carrying a backpack chemical sprayer, while trying to beat my way through tamarisk and cattail gunk. My hair still smells like rotenone, and I just threw away most of the clothes I was wearing. I work for the division of wildlife, and this was one of my top 5 dirtiest jobs. yuck.

Hey, every spring we dread the coming of lambing season we have about 5000 mother sheep redy to have babies. We are Sheep Lambers/Skyline Sheep Company/ Mt.Pleasant Utah
We are sheep farmers, and every night for about a month we are awake in the rain and mud, from sun up to sun up, carrying newborn baby lambs and their mothers from a large coral outside to a individual holding pen inside. This is probably one of the dirtiest jobs around. Guarenteed to make you squirm. haha
Thanks

Near Vernal, Utah, is a natural resource called gilsonite. It is used in plastics and other materials. It is softer than coal, and workers "powder up" with baby powder before going to work so they can get the gilsonite off of their skin. One of the companies to contact is American Gilsonite Company.

We also have a dinosaur quarry near our town, where paleontologists dig dinosaur bones. Not extremely dirty, but extremely intense and intricate. It's cool to see a dinosaur bone unearthed.
