There was a lot of them. There was that British Anti-tank spring loaded sticky bomb.

The was the U.S Seargent York anti-aircraft weapon that never want into production.
There was anti tank weapon that never made it to production that the Marines called the medial maker because if you used it on a tank you where sure to get a purple heart.
You might even say making Sherman Tanks sea worthy was one of of them. More sank than made it to shore.
Agreed, there were a lot of them. I would add the Maus superheavy tank. The American T-28 was a bit pointless as well. I would also include the bayonets fixed to Japanese light machineguns. Might as well throw in ancient war galleys larger than the quinquereme. Plenty to pick from.
do you think britains plans to build a carrier out of a combination of ice and sawdust fits the category? it wasn't viable but it was a decent idea. build a massive aircraft carrier that you could use for years and was cheaper to make than any other carriers of the time.
you could make an argument for the f-4 phantom. it was unmanuvaerable and had no gun making it vulnerable to north vietnamese migs and sams.
how about the turtle during the revolutionary war. a pedal driven submarine that was supposed to stick gun powder charges on the british ships hull under the water line.
i will have to agree with japanese death ray .. alleged death ray. complete waste of valuable resources for a project that would have never worked even if they'd manage to construct a "gun".
did you know that japan actually detonated an atomic weapon 6 days after the bombing of nagasaki on august 15 1845 in the korean pennisula. the scientific and military records of it were given to a scientist who moved to america and taught at arkansas.
I think its time for a bottom ten hehe. Or at least a "best 11 through 20 " because there are many other quality weapons out there. And those military experts need more airtime haha!!
That Japanese bayonet was more ceremonial than useful. Using their samurai history to inspire the troops.
The German Paris Gun Bouncing bomb
What's the name of that long gun Hitler built ?The barrel was like a mile long and only could shoot to one direction. He suspended the jet and V-2 R&D to build this thing.I can't remember the name though.
PIAT-the british Anti-tank weapon that was very inaccurite.
The railroad guns in WWII is a big agrement, used up resources for so limited use.
V3- the hitler supergun the guy was thinking about, and was a target for the remote control Bomber bombs, another failed idea that lead to better ideas of control
The Sho-Sho- the French light Machine gun are troops recived in WWI that was only because of political reasons.
Arado Ar 234- why build a jet bomber when the material could have made some 262's that could of help fighting the 8th Air Force.
Focke-Wulf Fw200- I know it was a killer in the Battle of the Atlantic, but it was known also for having problems staying together.
Heinkel He 162- Bad Handling and it was going to be given to young boys to pilot
Natter- the only way you would pilot the thing was etheir crazy, suscidal, drunk, or really despreat.
WS125- a nuclear-powered bomber, if you can't figure the problem with the idea, you need a brain cheek
Yak38- a 60 mile range in the age of hundreds of miles traveled in a single load of fuel.
