What about the shifting of a manual transmission? An interior view of the driver clutching and shifting the vehicle. And a view of the shifting action from under the vehicle time warped.

I think that would be cool, but an automatic transmission would be even better. I can mostly imagine how a manual transmission works, but automatic transmissions are magic.

I want to second these ideas. A car transmission would be awesome.
