I felt this film was a great example of how a person can chose to LIVE with a cancer diagnosis. Kris took an active role in learning about what she could do to improve her quality of life in the face of an incurable medical condition. My own journey with cancer paralleled much of what Kris did...educated myself, made medical choices (including declining radiation and 5 years of tamoxifin). I tried to opt for just the right amount of allopathic treatment (surgery and low-dose chemo) and homeopathic strategies like a primarily vegetarian and organic diet, acupuncture, and lympahtic massage, as well as nutritional supplements. Will my strategy work? I don't know, but I do know that like so many who have posted (and Kris) I feel more empowered and able to go on (and improve) my quality of life while I am here. Hats off to Kris and all of those who made this film happen. Cancer is a lonely, confusing and demanding disease, but can, if one so decides, be a life changing event for the better.
