I just went to Matt's site trigger-ent.com. In his bio he mentioned finishing the filming at ITAT. Please tell me he was only talking about one season, not forever.

Wish I had better news for you but it looks very much like ITAT is done. The show's on a hiatus and there is no sign there will be episodes. There hasn't been a new episode for what, at least 6 weeks now. Once I saw on Matt's site that he'd moved back to Texas I feared it was the end. It's too bad, I like the show and have been a regular viewer from the beginning.

One ray of hope, it's still on. So maybe Discovery hasn't given up complete hope. I'll know it's the end for certain when it's removed from the schedule.

What can we do? Other shows have been saved by fans. It seems to me that ITAT has a solid and vocal fan base. Could we mobilize? If Discovery won't keep ITAT, there are other networks!

Well, you can always write directly to Discovery, letting them know you love the show. It can't hurt. The other thing is keep this message board alive. I know, I don't post here much but as long as people are posting it keeps their attention.

I agree! Keep this show alive. I also agree with cdthorp's idea to post here as long as possible, to keep the board alive. Here's an idea.. anyone who wants to see the show stay on the air, 'bump' this topic. Pay attention Discovery Channel!

Here it goes....'BUMP'

I just learned of this show. It's great! As a former crime victim I can't express the importance of educating people to keep their homes safe. Protecting the "stuff" is important, but protecting people and pets are the most important. I've talked with many burglary victims and most tell the same feeling of "being violated." I know that feeling and respect your program for informing the public of how to be safe.

I am really new at all this. I don't even know the difference between a Junior member and a Member member! But, I know I don't want to see this show end. So, what is a BUMP and how do you do it? Despite those who claim this show teaches robbery (I think thieves already know all they see on this show), I find myself using safety tips from ITAT that I should have been using for years!

I'm a Junior Member of the boards and I don't know the difference between a Junior Member and a Member, either. Maybe you're a Junior Member until you have made a certain number of posts on the boards, then you become a Member? Just a thought.

A BUMP is adding a message to your post for the sole reason of bringing a particular topic to the top of the boards. A topic at the top of the boards can really get other members attention, and keep the topic active. It's like you said claudiainin, it's a way for fans to 'mobilize'. The more members that BUMP, the better the chances the topic has of...hopefully...getting DC's attention. Simply type BUMP in your post, or something like "Keep ITaT on DC...BUMP".

You don't even have to use the word BUMP. Some of us have already made our point under this topic. The posts alone will help bring the topic closer to the top of the boards. So, claudiainin, you've already bumped. Hope this helps. Let's see what happens. Smile

These "BUMPS" are exciting! I sooooo want this show to stay on the air! I really wish we could "force" them to film more episodes, but I would manage, just manage, if we had only reruns to watch. Come on Discovery, we're counting on you!

Discovery was trying to kill the show. Moving it to daytime and not announcing it, plus making it a daily show rather than weekly, is a way of burning out fans.

I like the show on right before Mythbusters. I do not know why Discovery moved the show. That was really dumb.

Hey Discovery, how about putting it back on the air?

Yay! I like not being a junior (I think)

I found ITAT at 5:00 pm, so thatploy didn't work. They could show it all day and I would keep watching. Come on! Discovery, appreciate our thieves. We do.

OK, now I understand BUMPS and MEMBERS, how do you rate a topic? I want to understand all this to learn to pressure Discovery for our boys! I'm not beneath begging here. This show is addictive.

ITaT comes on here at 4 P.M. (CST). claudiainin, to rate a topic, move your cursor over the words "Rate It". Left click your mouse once and you'll get a pull down window showing your rating options. Choose your rating, then choose "OK". Hmmmmm, will you be giving this topic a five check rating or a five check rating? lol Cool
