I have a 6 month old rottweiler mix and she jumps on anyone.Seriously anyone even my 5 year old little brother (whom is scared to death of her) earlier he was trying to play with her and she jumped on him scratching him on the face and back.I know she was trying to play but I don't have any idea of how to keep her from jumping.I've tried popping her, sound diversion and spraying water in her face but nothing has worked. My parents are threatening to take her to the pound if I don't do anything so i'd greatly appreciate it for any help

Do a 'set up.' Put your puppy on a leash. Have another family member walk in the door. When that person walks in the door have that person ignore your dog. Get your puppy's attention with a treat an tell her to sit, then give her the treat. Do this until when someone walks in the door she automatically looks at you for a treat and sits. Then, try doing this off of the leash.

It's harder with younger children. But don't let her jump on anyone. If she goes to, turn your back and walk away. Say nothing, do nothing, make no eye contact. Only when she is calm do you turn and give her any kind of attention.

I am not sure how old you are. It sounds like your rottie sees you and your brother as litter mates.
I am not sure how your parents are with your dog, you did not post enough information.
I recommend that for a big dog like a rottie that you and the family go to obedience glass and do it now. Seek a class that has more then just your dog in it.
Your rottie can run up to 90 pounds and more. At 6 months your rottie is playing but it is a good time to train.
A well trained rottie is a great companion and a great natural protector. Nobody needs to train a dog how to protect their clan. However, the rottie will need to learn who is the boss.
Again I recommend OBEDIENCE CLASS! NOW! Can I be anymore emphatic?

We had the same problem with our dog. What we did was we would put her on a leash, But only when we had guests over. The best thing to use is a choke chain. I know it sounds harsh but it worked for us. If you don't want to use that then you can use a harness. When people come over and your dog is trying to jump pull on the leash and make your dog sit. have dog treats ready to give to her if she listens. Also you can try it at home with your little brother.good luck.
