I have a 3 year old Toy Fox Terrier, and she licks everything. Furnature, herself, people, the floor...everything. Any ideas on how to get this under control? Shes a very well behaved dog otherwise.

Do not use your fingers or hands to play with the dog. As for licking people, you can try to stop this by grabbing the dog's tongue. Every time the dog goes to lick grab the tongue. This will be unpleasant for the dog and it should stop. You might have to grab it a few times.
Licking can also be a sign of nervousness. Play with the dog. When you see it lick furniture play with the dog. Give the dog a toy, distract it. Talk to the dog.
If all else fails with distracting the dog from licking the furniture it would be the time to use unpleasant tasting stuff on the furniture. Unpleasant stuff could be bitter apple or tabasco sauce, lemon juice.

I would also suggest to check the dog for any rashes, bites, fleas or ticks in places where it can't scratch. Underarms, stomache, butt, back legs, hips..... sounds weird but when some dogs have rashes or itches they can't lick (which is a natural thing they want to do) they will start licking other objects as a way to relieve their frustration.

Also, check your dog's nose to see if it is losing alot of water from it which can make them lick.... Just trying to think out of the box to figure out what it could be, LOL!

Maybe there is a post nasal drip in it's throat due to allergies or something? I have heard that can cause a dog to lick everything!

Good Luck!
