we have just gotten our american bulldog around a month and a half ago. she is 12 weeks old and will not stop biting your hands. we tell her no and tap her on her nose but she still continues. it is impossible to cuddle or pet her without her biting you. it is not aggressive but it hurts. we have bought her plenty of toys but this does not help. we have recently tried holding her mouth shut when she bites(i am not sure if this is correct plz help) and she whines and cries and barks furiously and then aggressivley attacks your hand and then just walks away. most of the time she is a sweet dog, but has these crazy moments. me and my wife have a 15 year old boy and two girls 13 and 12 and she does the same with them. we have never owned a dog only cats, but both me and my wife have had plenty of dogs as kids just not as a family and need some assistance. please if you have any information let me know. thank you

maybe she wants to play. so... you could play a little more! and when she bites, say "nuh-ah" and cross your arms. then turn your back to her until she calms down. remember that she's still a puppy and that most puppies would rather play than sit down and cuddle!

dog's don't really understand the word "no". puppy socialization is also important. enroll in obedience or puppy class as soon as you can. Never tap, hit, use physical force to correct your dog, they will associate your hand with something bad. agree with chambris, if puppy bites hand, yell "ouch!" no looking turn back with arms crossed, no talking, no attention, playtime is over.
