We adopted our terrier/ poodle about 6 months ago, we've gone through obedience school and all in all he is great. He is 1 yr 8 months old and has been neutered. Our problem is only when he is on leash. We walk daily, and I just don't feel like we've made any progress with his aggression towards other dogs. He is completely fine with people, kids... just other dogs. Sometimes, every once in awhile, we come across a dog that he somehow likes and is fine with. However most of the time, he barks, jumps, bites at his leash, shakes his head to fight the leash. We have had various off leash "playdates" all of which he is completely obedient and playful with the other dog. He even was fine with the dogs in our obedience class, once he got used to them a bit (a class or 2 in).

We have tried "correcting" him as soon as he tenses up. We've tried treating him as long as he can stay calm. We've tried getting him to "watch" us, which he is great at until he sees another dog- then we don't exist in his little world. We've tried the combination of all of the above... none of which seems to be helping at all. Any suggestions???
