I have tried everything to potty train my beagle, I tried kennels, he just tears them apart, or just pees and poops in it. Is there anything else that I can do?
Is your dog a puppy? Here's how I potty trained my BC puppy. I set my internal clock to take my puppy outside, every two hrs, on a leash and give the "go potty" request. We'd stay out there until we got some sort action. Immediately after the she pottied, treat, deliver that treat within 3 seconds, a piece of cheese, piece of hot dog, something interesting, not just your normal kibble. If you want your dog to go outside, make it worth it. Treat and a "Good Girlie". Take your dog out immediately after any meals. Every two hours includes evenings as well. Out side on a leash, but keep things quiet, no talking. Give a treat and back inside, in her crate. If nothing else, I recommend Susan Garrett's Ruff Love. And of course, never, never punish your dog if an accident happens. You don't want to end up scaring your dog NOT to potty. Then you'll have a big vet bill, not to mention behavior problems. Hopes this helps.
More information is needed. How old is your dog? How long have you had him? What have you tried? And what size is your dog's crate? If it's too big he won't see it as a den but a playpen. Tears them apart? Sounds like some separation anxiety. More information will help!
