I guess you could call this my introduction to the forums.

At 49 years old I have been around animals most of my life and actively involved in rescue since I was 10 years old.

I tend to distance myself from the established MAJOR rescues as in MHO they get to much publisity, money, and aid and do far to little with it.

I tend to support the smaller independent rescues now. The salt of the earth mom & pop operations, that actually use donations for the purposes they were given (The Animals) and not lunches, campagn ads, and large paychecks.

To this end I have created and informative website www.all44paws.org and a blog that deals with homemade food and treats for pets. http://flip195.wordpress.com/

I currently have several rescued ex feral cats who have all made a very nice transistion to happy healthy indoor cats, and 2 elderley dogs.
All are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and FULLY clawed (I despise de-clawing)

In nov/Dec I hope to publish recipe book of homemade meals and treats for pets, I will be selling t'shirts from the website and running competitions in order to raise funds. ALL profits from the sale of the book will go to www.aarrff.org

The other Profits will go to other supported rescues listed on the all44paws web site.

I hope to become a regular poster here, with updates on animals needing homes and rescues needing help.
