Oh, gosh, almost too much to say. My older daughter (10) is physically and medically challenged, but she endures everything that comes with that--feeling lousy, medical treatment, blood draws, hospitalizations, xrays, testing, therapies--with the stoicism of a saint and the calm of an angel. I've never pushed her little sis (6) into the role of my built-in mini assistant, and she's happily never assumed it. But I realized that it's all sunk in somehow when she won an award at the end of kindergarten for the "most helpful" in her class. They're both beautiful to boot. It all makes me so thrilled to be a mom.
Having three children, all medically needy, I am so proud of how they deal with not feeling well, frequent MD visits. We will not even bring up hospitalizations that can last months! With them being young adults now, I am thrilled to say that they are wonderful. kind, well grounded people.
