some pictures i see on the internet have a tiv with a full dashboard with a radio a/c and heat and a blue dashboard including air vents, and it had no big dome, and the tiv on the series has a dome and a completly stripped interior.

also was there a series like this before storm chasers, i vaugely remember a show that showed them building the tiv and all the problems they had, but no dow or scout, it was just them and they were chsing a twister by them selves.

TIV has evolved over the years, most notably with the addition of claws in 06. I love those things, but you have to respect them. One of my shirts has a hole it, lesson learned.

There was a special from the 05 season. Its just a one hour special, so you don't get to see as many facets of chasing and personalities as you do with this show.

I believe there is only one, but the look of the TIV has changed a lot over the years.

There's only one TIV, but it has traveled through many permutations. My favorite additions are the claws.

I saw them building the TIV when I downloaded a video from i-tunes. I have to say it looks alot different now from when they first built it. The claws are really cool.

can you post the link to that video so we can all see how it evolved?
