It seems this year's series is more about the approaching storms of egos than the tornados. Also, Sean reminds me of Captain Ahab, searching for the great tornado, just out of his reach. I hope the show focuses more on the storms vs egos of these weather Titans!

egos... ya think?! my husband and i have enjoyed this show immensely - until this season! Joshua, Sean and Reed, really guys?! really?!! at first i thought you all actually enjoyed what you do for a living, it seems the notoriety is now most important... i know i am just one person, however, shrug... i am no longer interested - you are all divas!

Remember, folks, this is Tee Vee. 90% of the drama and angst you see is manufactured by 'creative' editing.

every genius with no idea of how to put together a movie seems to think they sound smart by blaming the "editing" for how something appears on tv. Do you know how editing changes things for better or worse?

Why does the sun rise every morning? the editing.

Why do puppy dogs get cancer? the editing.

why does that guy wear 2 different shirts and I see a hotel from kansas and another hotel from texas in the same scene? the editing.

I'm beginning to see from this show the toll storm chasing takes on these people. I think everything it all there and they sacrifice themselves for their passion.

Fine, go gtick your fingers in your ears if it makes you more comfortable. You don't need to be a 'genius' to see inconsistencies galore. Don't believe me? Matt Hughes, the 'Doghouse' driver, posted this on ST:

"That being said, there was some serious editing "magic" done throughout the episode. At first I couldn't even tell which chase we were on in the second half of the episode. We definitely weren't late to the first V2 meeting and Sean pitched the dog, which was found near Lone Grove, at a morning meeting in Wichita."

It's TeeVee, dude. Get a clue!

get a clue was my point. they can make someone late to a meeting, but they are not going to manufacter the angst over catching storms. do you think the producer kick people in the shins to get footage of sean and reed all worked up?

so go gtick whatever you want. Im going to use my own judgement figuring out what was the work of editors and what wasn't.

To see how the producers have redirected the series, all you have to do is watch the behavior of the on-screen personalities, the story structure, the camera work and the editing in Seasons 1 and 2. Listen to the underscore, the sound effects and the audio mix.

In comparison, Season 3 plays like a hyperkinetic mosh pit of lowest-common-denominator Reality TeeVee techniques -- from the camera work and editing to the dumbed-down stories and juvenile personality conflicts.

I'm sure it's doing a great job of pulling in the Discovery Channel's target demographic of 13-to 18-year-old males.

But it's a disappointment to the (rapidly diminishing) portion of the audience that doesn't appreciate StormChasers being turned into "Twister Meets Jerry Springer."

I finally got my wife to watch this show the other week, after enjoying it for the past couple of seasons, and she went: "Well, those guys are all jerks!" And I had to agree. It just isn't the same show anymore.

Agree with most posters. STOP THE DRAMA! It is not fun to watch passive-aggressive storm chasers. This kind of BS ripped apart my team in Iraq. Ghost Hunters went through this phase seaching for their style and it didn't work for them. It doesn't work for you either.

Knock it off or lose viewers.

Okay I just watched the show last night.. I must say that was dissapointed. There was not enough chasing and too much arguing. Mr. Wurman needs to get his head out of his butt. In the last season his directions where not spot on. When he can read a weather map and give percise direction get back to us. The other team w/reed had a better system and did not have all of that technology following them. I was glad to see Josh go off by himself after the incident with the dog.. Come on. He was trying to help a dog. I am sure alot of this is just editing but really this show is about chasing and that is why I am watching it. I could careless that Mr. Wurman now has money from the Goverment and a 40 person team...Really do you need that many people...Really... Oh yeah and other teams are not out for the science of it... What an a**. If they do not show him for the rest of the season I would be all to happpy.
