My husband and I are so very disappointed in this seasons Storm Chasers because of the constant cussing! We used to watch this as a family and now we will not allow our kids to watch. Does anyone have a websit or reference to contact the network or producer(s) of this show so we can tell them how disgusted we are? If the people on these weather/video teams cannot control their own tounges then the LEAST the media people can do is BLEEP it out!! I was especially angry that they allowed G--D---. That made me sick! Too bad!

I will completely agree with you texasmama. It really is unnecessary that we hear even a part of the word. Yes, we understand they are in a tense situation. Yes, we understand that most people don't have the vocal control and intelligence to say something productive or nothing at all while in a tense and exciting situation. But, that's why we have editing.
We invite the show into our homes. Please allow us to continue to do so, as this show is really one of the more interesting shows out there. (Not scripted, but edited to appear like a Scripted Drama.)

So do you not expect your children to eventually be exposed to "cussing"? I promise you that Discovery will not change it. Instead of wasting your time trying to get them to change it, use it as a learning experience for your children. Tell them that low class, unintelligent people cuss because they don't have a vast vocabulary(i.e. stormchasers). Parents like you, texasmama, are the reason our children these days are having sex at age 12. You can either 1.) teach them or 2.) let them learn on their own. Which one do you think is a better outcome for your own children???

I can't believe there are people out there that really get upset these guys are saying God Damn. I really can't believe they think they are protecting their kids by not letting them hear these guys say that. These are the same parents that want their kids to get participation trophies when their kids come in last place in sports (if they even let them play). Good luck to your kids in high school.

The wonders of modern technology have granted you a solution to the problem, reach for your remote and change the channel, seriously it really is that easy.....yup I know it sounds crazy but trust me it will work. Like others have said being hyper protective of your children really isn't doing them any favours, I remember kids like that from school, and they either got taken apart by the other kids, or they went completely off the rails, I don't recall ever seeing a good outcome there. Also as parents its your job to heed the warnings before a show, and to take note of the time its shown, if you still choose to let your kids watch then the burden of responsibility is with you and not Discovery.

As much as cursing does not bother me, I have to agree with some that find it inappropriate. That said, these guys are probably cursing all the time, so it's going to make it in the show. At least that part we know is 'real!'

Saying something is inappropriate suggests that there is a time and place that it would be appropriate, at least thats how I would interpret that. In that regard if its not appropriate to curse when a tornado is bearing down on you, or your equipment has failed leading to massive frustration, then when is it appropriate?
