Is it possible to use rebreather technology to reduce CO2 emissions from cars? If it's possible to make it affordable, why not go for it?

Never mind. I talked with a chemist friend and he said that it would be impractical. It would take too much scrubber material and would have to be replaced too frequently to be cost effective.
