Registered: 10-12-04 | I live in the Chicago area and have grown tired of my current hair salon. The salon has gone through some changes and I am not happy with them. I know there are many salons in Chicago, but I was wondering if anyone could suggest a salon based on personal experience.

Theres gotta be thousands of salons, there's one on every street corner up here in Glenview. You could try Teddie Kossof's if you live around here. I go to a smaller shop because I really like the lady that works there. I actually followed here when her original shop owner retired. |

They do celebrities such as Joan Cusack and Bill Rancik, which is also a testament to their abilities. They've been featured on local TV and in national magazines. I have been getting my hair cut by one of the owners, Margaret, for about 10 years. Prior to getting their own place, the owners were at Elizabeth Arden. If you go there, post and let me know how it went! |

Registered: 10-12-04 | I live in a near Western suburb of Chicago, if that helps. I know that there are many wonderful salons in the area, I am just trying to find one that will have stylists capable of designing a style for me. I did look at Salon Blonde and I may set up an appointment there, but I would still like to receive a couple of more suggestions if possible before going forward.

I got the best haircuts and color (their specialty) of my life and that says a lot as I have Asian hair. It is tricky to color and cut. Any of the stylists would be good. I also got good haircuts at Art + Science in Lincoln Park. Danny was my stylist there but it was about five years ago. I do not recommend Salon 1800 and after I moved to Naperville I never found a salon in the 'burbs that I liked as well. |
