Does anyone own a Beijo bag? Do you like it and does it hold up well?
I saw them recently and loved them and now want one desperately!

I had never heard of them so I googled. They are purses from one of those home parties? I am curious because some of the women from my hometown have mentioned purse parties but I have not heard of them around here.

My stepmom mentioned that she had been to one where they were selling Dooney & Bourke and Coach. I wondered if these were authentic bags or knock-offs.

Anyone know more about "Purse Parties"?

I am not sure, but if you like really unusual purses, please check out Mary Frances's line. They are AMAZING! I have several (not enough!} and the quality is excellent. They are available through TheAddisonCollection.com or RobertClaytonDesignsIntl.com
Hope you like them-Laurie

Purse parties around here are for buying knock offs, from super high end bags to more moderate bags.
Beijo is not available in stores, only through a home party or on ebay. There are hundreds of them on ebay.

When I googled purse parties the info I got back seemed sketchy at best. I even read where two 18 year old girls hosted a party and were arrested as soon as the first purses were sold. I take it there is a good reason I haven't heard of them in my area yet.

The Beijo bags were not something I personally liked but they aren't that expensive from what I can see on Ebay. Even if you purchased one and used it for a couple of months you would get your good out of it.

The Mary Frances bags are cute but again not really my thing. They would make nice evening bags and I could see why someone would want to collect them. They would look good on display.

Has anyone here tried something like BagBorrowSteal?

Yes, actually I have tried bagborrowsteal. It's fun but watch your charges they really add up with shipping and tax on top of the rental charges. I fell in love with Beijo bags and started selling them. Everywhere I go and my customers go they bring compliments. They are very sturdy and the best way to take care of them if you have a scuff is the use a product called Magic eraser!
